This is not the worst nor the best 3-star hotel, I have stayed in. Having said that, the rooms are well laid out with a comfortable bed and very little street noise. The reception and bar staff are friendly and the drinks-prices were not too bad. It is also close (next to) the Rhine river and about a 10 minute...

About the room I have only good things to say. It was newly renovated, the bed was super comfortable and the bathroom spacious and clean (with hair dryer available). The breakfast even though it's not included in the price it's quite good with a nice variety of food. I'ts not super close to the train stations but it's manageable and...

The hotel is old ( renovation is going on now) and room is small (comparing to American motel standard), but is no problem for a rest there. I spent 4 nights there during a meeting. The people in front desk are great and helpful. It is not very far from the market, old town, and main attraction, most them are...

We stayed at the hotel for one night, but I didn't feel comfortable at all. It was cold..The whole room and my bathroom were stinking like before it had been a smoking room... even thou it had a non smoker sign. I hated the carpet and the old furniture.. I think they need to re-new the hotel a little bit.....

I've stayed here on business a number of times and always been satisfied. The location is nice, being right on the river on the corner of a couple of main streets. The staff is always friendly and professional. The rooms are clean and modern, in standard German style. There are only a couple of restaurants very close by, but fortunately...

This is a large business like hotel close to the railway station, five minutes walk, and the river. It is not cheap but it is very well equipped and the hotel staff or polite and helpful. The breakfast is also very good. There is also a secure room to park bicycles. However, for the price I paid I did not...

I made reservations without a map and so we had a long walk with our luggage down the Kaiserstrasse. A nice room and friendly staff plus a wide breakfast selection of coffees, breads, fruits, and meats. Room was not spacious but our windows looked over the street below to the Rhine and we had a lovely park across the street....

This hotel, which for the centre of Mainz could be highly recommended by me, except for a few nagging issues. We booked this hotel thru another on line booking service, that starts with an "Ag". I messed up slightly as I booked a double room, not seeing I needed to specify 2 people. The on line blurb, said also it...

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I was able to walk from the train station to the hotel with my bag. The desk was very strict about the 3pm check-in, but were very nice about watching our bags while we went and explored Mainz. The front desk was also helpful in showing us where we could buy tickets for...

“Try to get a room with a view of the river. It will be a little noisier, but you will have such a pleasant view. We stayed in Room #410 this time. It has a balcony overlooking the river.”
