Central but looked the worse for wear it is a pity we had chosen this hotel to have one of only 3 rest days in the tour as we stayed 2 nights. Staff friendly storage for bike outside but under a wooden cover not as secure as all other hotels but you did have to access through hotel. Room had...

Although hotel on busy intersection, it's central location some 200 metres from Mainz Raiway station, and bus and tram terminal was an asset. Rooms were quite large, clean and comfortable. Lift only big enough to fit one person with suitcase, free wifi and adequate breakfast included.

I stayed in the hotel for two nights. The location is ok, very close to the station. The structure looks pretty old and should be refurbished. The room was dusty and smelling bad. The bathroom did not look good at all. The breakfast was ok. I would not recommend it, it does not deserve three stars.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Schottenhof on December 2, 2015 and could not find anything wrong to say about our stay. It was located right across the street of the train station and in walking distance of the Christmas Market. If you are not a walker than this place would not be for you. But, we truly...

Stayed with a group of colleagues at the Hotel Schottenhof on a recent visit to Mainz. The bed was fairly comfortable, the shower was good and the breakfast was OK. I suppose it served it purpose but I certainly didn't leave thinking that I would be rushing back. It was handy for the train station which was just across the...

We rented two single rooms. Outdated bathrooms with some mold. One was cleaner than the other. Noise from the street from the bars and the train station--24 hours a day. It was a dilemma because the rooms had no air conditioning, it was hot, and you couldn't open the windows, unless you were willing to sacrifice sleep because of the...

I would probably not have bothered to review this vile hotel but I wanted to lend my support to the previous reviewer and to state very clearly that there was absolutely nothing exaggerated about his or her reported experience nor enlargements through misleading camera angles. I was here on business and had a reservation in this hotel. Before settling on...

This place is very convenient for the train station but is a long way from the city centre. Breakfast was OK and served in the reasonably pleasant ground floor café. And there, anything positive that can be said about this hotel ends. Readers should look at the photos attached to this review and decide for themselves if they want to...

We arrived at Schottenhof for a 1 night stay. As we arrived in our room we thought everything looked fine, and went out for dinner. Upon return I noticed an insect crawling on the wall, and didn't think much of it other than being slightly put-off. Over the course of the next hour, that one insect turned into over 10....

I stayed here whilst visiting an exhibition in Frankfurt, approx 35-40 minutes away by train. I chose this hotel because it was much cheaper than anything I'd been offered in Frankfurt - and for the sake of a short train journey (8 euros single from Frankfurt) it was worth it A good location (only a few minutes from Mainz train...
