Our stay was in mid November, during the annual maintenance on two of the tram lines that run by the guesthouse. Luckily, there was another set of lines running BEHIND the guesthouse, so we still had fantastic access to all of Dresden with the excellent public transport system. We stayed in the lovely 2 BR 1 BA apartment on the...

Gästehaus Stadt Metz was a great surprise! My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights. We were very welcome by Tino - he was very polite and gentle giving us some tips for our days in Dresden and he helped us with carrying our baggage to the room. Important: there's no elevator (if this is a problem for you...

Tino greeted us at our arrival and helped us with carrying our baggage to the second floor (no elevator). The location is perfect - it is a 15 minute walk along the Elbe and across the Augustusbruecke arriving right in the heart of old town Dresden! The room was large, we had a separate sitting room and the bathroom was...

The guest house has been decorated internally and the rooms were clean and spacious. The staff/owners go out of their way to look after you. Breakfast was a treat in the large, sunny dining room. The stairs to higher level rooms could be a problem for the less able, we were on the third floor and had no real problem...

My wife and I recently spent two nights in beautiful Dresden and couldn't be happier that we chose Gaestehaus Stadt Metz to stay during our visit. The hotel is located perfectly between old town and inner new town, and we very much enjoyed our ten minute stroll to these locations. Particularly into old town, as the path goes through beautiful...

We had an amazing time in Dresden and staying at Stadt Metz was a great part of it. The hotel location is perfect: just between the Neustadt and the Altstadt and there is a tram stop just in front of it. The bedroom was very big, extremely clean and we had a real hairdryer (that is very important for women...

We stayed here for 5 nights. The location is super, situated right between the Altstadt and the Neustadt. There are some great restaurants, bars as well as historic sites within easy reach by foot (10-15min walk). The double glazing in the flats means that the rooms were really quiet, even though we were situated right by a large crossing and...

This used to be a block of flats built in 1916-17. At the bombimg of Dresden only this house reained, the other stairhouses have been ruined. So from the outside looks a little odd... In the inside this strange feeling is increased as two owner is looking for some baroque, although bauhaus would suit better. Anyways, it is a very...

Two of us stayed in this large apartment for three evenings. We were so impressed with the apartment. It is a historical buidling with fully refurbished interior. The bathroom and kitchen were modern. The bed was comfortable and the sitting room stylish. The location is great. It was easy to walk over a bridge to the city centre and it...

Rooms are large and very nice. The owner is very nice and helpful and the hotel is in a perfect location to visit the city. The only little glitch is that during night is slightly noisy because of the tram, but is really bearable. Breakfast is very good!
