Second visit to the Hilton in Dresden. We took the mother-in-law in July as well. We love the central location, friendly staff , good restaurants (especially the Dampfschiff) and the leisure facilities. We spent 6 nights over Christmas and had a magical stay. the Christmas markets are wonderful, the "gluhwein" flows and the sausages legendary. It's not a german Christmas...

The Hilton Dresden is situated very close to the river and local points of interest, all an easy walk. The Hotel itself has a modern interior and very pleasant spacious rooms, the staff are exceptionality friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay.

My daughter and I recently spent one night at the Dresden Hilton. We chose it on the basis of location and were not disappointed. We didn't have a lot of time to explore the city, and the hotel's location allowed us to be out sightseeing and shopping virtually the entire day, with frequent short stops at the room to drop...

The Hilton Dresden is located is the center of the old town, right in the center of the foot zone. The lobby is big, but like a train station, lots of stuff and people moving around.. At peek times the front desk has a line.. I was lucky to get an upgrade (Hilton Diamond) to an executive room, and this...

Excellent location but limited to local shops. it is a nice style modern and simple hotel and made you feel pampered a bit. but it doesn't met the amount of money you pay especially you are pretty much isolated eating at their restaurants, but the sightseeing is all around you.

My big problem, first. I'm probably the only traveler who doesn't have a laptop, and I must spend 1-2 hours a day connected to the Internet. The Dresden Hilton charges something like USD $20-25 per hour to use the PC in the business center, which I find price-gouging. Public Internet cafes in Dresden charge about 10% of that rate. Unfortunately,...

I stayed at the Hilton for 11 days at the end of October and was very disappointed. My room was clean and quiet--and for that I'm grateful. But I might as well have been in Kansas City. It was nothing like the marvelous experience I had at the Dresden Radisson Gewanthaus in March where the staff always greeted me, and...

Great hotel, excellent location - short walk to the River Elbe and the indoor shopping mall - I've stayed there twice in the last year, the first time in February, '07 and there was plenty of snow. But it was just a few inches and melts quickly. Directly across the street from Frauenkirche and one block from the very interesting...

The location of this hotel cannot be over emphasized. Everything a first time visitor wants to see and enjoy is close enough to walk to: the Elbe River and boat trips, churches, museums, opera house, train station, shopping and restaurants of all sizes and specializations. The rooms are clean, well furnished and comfortable. The staff is helpful and can make...

Very nice hotel conveniently located on the square containing the Frauenkirche. I have no major complaints about our stay. We had a bit of a problem with the lock on our room that took a while to fix, but eventually it got taken care of. I noticed a slight decrease in the English proficiency at the front desk compared to...
