#7 of 136 Speciality lodging in Leipzig
This a&o, located right next to the main railway station, is steeped in history: during the Imperial period, it was the Imperial Post building; today, people from all over the world explore the city from here. We strive to protect your sleep, just as government protects this building and its renovated historical facade, which is a listed monument. There are 163 modern single, double, family, and multi-bed dorm rooms, as well as space for 10 cars and a kids’ corner for our little guests. Don’t be fooled by the stately lobby – sleeping here is remarkably aff ordable!

good beds and helpful workers, if you are going with a group it is the best place to go. We even had a person staying in another room, but she felt uncomfortable to stay in the room as there were old men, the workers helped her move to another place making her feel more safe

There was okay facilities but I don't like that guests are sleeping without using linning, I have told reception several times but no one seems to care about it, if I had another option rather than this hostal I take that, I think it is discussing that people aren't using the bed linning and nobody care

I was shocked about how this hostel is dealing with the current epidemic. Theres a few sanitiser stations in the reception. However, considering this hostel is over many floors they should consider putting more near the lifts. With regards other safety put in place. They are still squeezing as many people into each dorm as possible with no consideration for social distancing. Seems the guests don't care either. Wandering around without masks on, coming into your personal space. I'd been staying in a previous hostel before checking into this one, so as this was the case I'd brought shopping with me. When asking reception where the kitchen was, the receptionist responded "are you part of the group". No, I am not part of a group, I'm by myself. The kitchen shouldn't be booked out for groups, it should be available for individuals. This resulted in my food going mouldy and thrown away. If you wanted to have a space to "relax" you can use the lobby, Which is loud and full of uncomfortable seats Would not recommend if you wanted to safe.

You pay extra for female dorms in this hostel and don't bother to tell the size of the room, 4, 6 8 bed? Info which is available for other dorms. Then at 2am you wake up to a 150 kg fat snoring guy and receptionist say "Sorry we make a mistake". This place is a Corona hotspot with full occupied dorms with 30 cm between people. No sanitizer near elevators, and all guests touching the buttons. Internet is working, but extremely slow. Guest kitchen reserved to groups and closed for individuals. Building outdated and noisy, you hear all people in the corridor. No common room except for reception which is noisy with uncomfortable chairs. They have spent money on renovating the facade, but don't seem to care about guests security or comfortability.

A very cheap and nice hostel, safe and welcoming. It's well located if you want to visit Leipzig walking. However, when I arrived, I had the previous guest's bedsheets on my bed, no one had cleaned them, I had to take them off... plus they have a nice kitchen but a tiny fridge and the kitchen is dirty. I don't think the employees do their best to keep it clean. Otherwise it's a safe place to be.
