Value for money is pretty good. The place is not flash and the rooms are OK and clean. Unfortunately there was a function on, so we had a bit of noise from that until late at night. We had a room opposite the Mezquita which was a pretty amazing view, especially at night. parking is not free (like all Spanish...

We stayed for one night and chose this hotel based on price, availability and proximity to the Mezquita since we had only half a day in Cordoba. The Mezquita was literally outside the front door, so it certainly delivered in that respect. Our room was not much - we had a triple which made it a bit tighter, and the...

Location impeccable. Service distracted and s-l-o-w. Room small but clean. Good water pressure in the shower. Abysmal wall-mounted blowdryer lived up to only half its name: it blew. Biggest problem was having reserved a nonsmoking room and being assigned a smoking one. We went back to reception and got switched to a nonsmoking room directly above the previous one. The...

Follow my advice, don't go to this hotel. We chose this hotel because it was very close to The Mosque and because it was rated 4 stars, and because of all the good reviews on Trip Advisor. It is hard for me to understand how anyone could have been happy with this old hotel with a tiny room, horrible bed,...

We rate this hotel very highly. Excellent service, beautifully furnished, if rather small, bedrooms, great location just across the road from the famous Mezquita. We stayed for 4 nights and saw all we wanted to see within easy walking distance. Lovely courtyard for drinks/meals. Very reasonably priced.

Adjacent to Cordoba's Mezquita, El Conquistador's location is superb but by our experience nothing else about it is. Despite having booked a room with double bed well in advance, we were first given a tiny, dark twin bed room on the top floor. I asked to change and, with very bad grace, was given a lovely first floor room with...

If everything else about the hotel wasn't so good the main reason to stay here is the location. The staff are great, the courtyard is as peaceful as you could want and the rooms are a good enough size. But..... on top of this its on the opposite side of the street to the Mezquita, next to the old Jewish...

Stayed here in Sept 2009 for one night. Apart from the great position, this hotel did not match any of the expectations we had based on the positive comments posted on Tripadvisor. It would be more realistically described as a 2* with spacious rooms and good location, nothing more. Staff were especially unhelpful and did barely speak English (took about...

we stayed here for two nights during our summer holiday. the hotel is nice, traditional, and reasonably comfortable. the room we had was adequate. it was on the small side, with a very old fashioned portable television that had quite bad reception, and very poor air conditioning. in fact, i would go so far as to say that the air...

The best thing about this hotel is its location - opposite the Mesquita, you couldn't ask for better. The reception and public areas are nicely decorated - as are the rooms although they are tired and in need of redecoration. We stayed in August and with temperatures reaching 42, were appreciative of the great air conditioning - we liked how...
