Ask someone when you come out of the station and they will point you in the right direction. If you have a lot of luggage and don't want to walk the short distance get off at Maria Zambrano station as there are plenty of taxis at the station. It is certainly a straightforward journey and really quick

There is a marina about a 10 or 15 minute walk depending on the traffic lights, but I do not recall a beach nearby. There are tons of food and drinks all over that area. There is a great bread and pastry shop right down the block on the right as you head to the Cathedral area. You will have more places to choose from as you near the Cathedral and shopping area. I loved Malaga.
