Wonderful little hotel, in a beautiful house...we tend to gravitate toward smaller hotels, hence our choice of Hotel California, it is a little ways away from the city center, but everything is rather convenient in Malaga. Free wi-fi, free breakfast (very good by the way), and great service. It is an old home with a lot of character, and it...

I have just recently stayed at Hotel California on my own and what a delightful place! The staff are so friendly and it didn't matter that I couldn't speak much Spanish as they could speak English! Hotel is very comfortable and very central for everything I wanted to do. I had a room overlooking the back and was very quiet...

Stayed for 7 nights in a lovely front facing room with terrace. All staff very friendly, breakfast great and enough to keep us going until late afternoon. Really loved this hotel with its quaint touches, very comfortable bed and lovely staff. Very close to the beach and 20 mins or so walk from the town. However we spent most of...

although hotel is rated 2 * it certainly deserves 3 *, room was spotlessly clean with spacious bathroom, lovely spanish traditional deco throughout, staff very friendly and helpful, 5 mins walk from beach and 30 mins stroll along promenade to harbour/port and main centre, breakfast was fairly basic but this not a major problem as cafes nearby, great value for...

Travelled here in July to visit our daughter and stayed here a week. Everything was as expected which was pretty much excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was more or less the same every day but then at home I have the same breakfast most days so not a problem for us. We changed rooms to a lovely...

Nice budget hotel. Great location, walking distance to the beach and old town. Bus stop right outside the hotel, the busses takes you into the central bus station. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast room, but no other meals served. Some rooms have their balcony, but there is a great sundeck on the roof.

Visited this hotel in August 2015 for 3 nights. The hotel has great location: beach in 2 minutes, city center in 10-15 minutes, bus-stop near the hotel, supermarket nearby. Room is nice, has fridge and safe, and some ants on balcony (oooops). Breakfasts were nice, staff - very friendly and helpful.

This place exceeded our expectations, not only by the very friendly staff that always helped us, but also by the fact that when we booked we asked for a balcony room and we received one with a lovely terrace. It is very close to the beach and the city center: we walked 10 minutes by foot to reach the city...

Great value for the price you pay. Close to the beach and, surprisingly, great breakfast. The staff was excellent and I would definitely stay here again. They deserve more than two stars for sure. Wi-fi connection was great!

Hotel California is very well located. It's close to the beach and city centre and within walking distance of tourists attractions, such as the Alcazabar and Gibralfaro Castle. There are also supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The staff were all extremely friendly and very responsive to any issues we had. The double room we had on the top floor was spacious,...
