We stayed only 2 nights here as recommended by a friend but could easily have stayed longer! Our apartment was cosy and small but a totally delightful hidden away gem, with everything you could really need to a short break. Rafa, our host was very amiable and helped us to feel welcome. Although hidden away, if you follow the instructions...

Our group rented three rooms here and each was unique with character. All had kitchens - small but well equipped. You need to be able to carry your luggage up a narrow stairwell and can not drive to the place but we had backpacks and are very active seniors so had not problems. The view of the Alhambra from the...

Loved this place so much me and hubby came back to celebrate my 50th this year. Rafa is a very friendly host with a vast amount of local knowledge. We had some great chats with him up on the terrace. If you want to experience a holiday off the beaten track, and away from corporate hotel chains, this little gem...

El 8 hits the spot on so many levels. Killer sunset view of the Alhambra from the terrace? Tick. Quiet, artistic and spotless apartments with great kitchen facilities? Tick. Awesome helpful hosts who go out of their way to help you find authentic local spots to eat and enjoy? Tick. Super comfy beds? Tick. Tick. Tick. I don't have a...

From the moment we arrived at the pick up point, we were personally escorted to our accomodation by our host, as the area is pedestrian only neighbourhood. This is a small and neat apartment complex, all self contained, with adequate facilities. The building is of another era associated with the Albaicin area,of whitewashed buildings and narrow maze like streets and...

We stayed 3 nights and if you want to be centrally located, yet quite, this is the place for you. Our room was on the main floor and unfortunately had a musty basement smell that we only noticed upon entering. The apartment was spacious with a well furnished kitchen (we only had fruit and yoghurt for breakfast. You do get...

Had the best time at this little gem, felt completely at home. Rob was friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area and Spain. Rooms clean, comfortable and cool. Rooftop terrace sublime with view to die for. Impromptu guitar and singing drifting through windows at night made for sweet dreams. Don't change a thing. Loved it so much have booked...

Rob made us very welcome as he showed us round our apartment home for 6 nights. We were just below a rooftop terrace where we met up with fellow travellers staying in other apartments within the house as the sun set on the Alhambra on the hill opposite. The apartment was very comfortable and its location was in the midst...

The thing about this hotel is that it is beautifully unique You essentially rent an apartment inside the building and each one is different. From the small, with a shared bathroom, to the larger with ensuite and a kitchen. This is a quiet location to stay. It has a lovely roof terrace with stunning views of the Alhambra palace. Set...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
El Numero 8 is not a typical hotel. It is a traditional casa de vecinos separated into separate apartments located in the Ancient Moorish area of Granada, the Albayzin. It is also our home that we share with travelers. It is a very tranquil place to stay and we ask our guests to come with respect for the house and for the neighborhood which is all pedestrian and very quiet for being right in the center of the city of Granada. ... more   less
