It has been skillfully restored, retaining most of its original architectural features The building forms part of Placeta de Los Peregrinos square, in the historic city center. At the Gar Anat Hotel Boutique, each guestroom is different. All rooms are different, with simple decor and original features. The rooms are beautifully decorated, all ensuite, with air conditioning, safe, hairdryer in the bathroom, and free WiFi internet access. It is designed as a place of calm and reflection. It offers free afternoon teas, free Wi-Fi, and a typical Granadian columned patio/courtyard. From check in through departure the stay was lovely. As soon as I arrived I was quickly checked in. A dinner reservation was made and a taxi offered. I was shown through the main floor and where I could get coffee/tea and a quick history lesson. The room was simple and very clean with a wonderful view. Bed was comfortable and water pressure excellent. Granada is really worth a visit and the hotel a fantastic option.

The room and bathroom was extremely spacious and very clean. Comfortable bed. The staff very friendly and helpful. They even helped me to get tickets to the Alhambra before we arrived at the hotel. We loved our stay at Gar Anat. Very convenient location with many restaurants near by. Highly recommend the place.

Charming hotel in a central location close to everywhere you want to be and see. The staff is incredible and willing to help with whatever you need. The soundproofing is the best I’ve ever experienced- you will hear nothing and sleep like a baby.

This is an ideal boutique hotel, central, everything walkable. Very helpful and interactive staff, large rooms. We had to take a dawn train out of Granada, way ahead of breakfast availability, and were provided with very generous breakfast picnics. Heartily recommend a stay here.

A great place to stay. A charming boutique hotel in the centre of Granada. An old building sympathetically restored makes for an easy retreat from the heat and bustle. Helpful staff: nothing too much trouble. Unhesitatingly recommended.

Perfect location for exploring Granada, 25 min walk to Alhambra (2 min walk to bus to Alhambra if you don't fancy the hill), even watched some of the Semana Santa Easter processions from the hotel windows. Comfortable room and facilities. Special mention to Elizabeth on reception who was superb at providing all the information we needed as well as a great welcome.

This quirky hotel is a really good choice if you like a small friendly hotel and don't mind the spartan set-up. The rooms are spacious and airy and the staff are very nice people, both helpful and pleasant to chat to. The location is almost perfect and I would recommend the hotel for that alone. I would seriously suggest you check where this one is on the map and avoid anything further north. From this point up, the roads are steep, twisty and narrow and I saw plenty of people dragging their suitcases up the hills on bumpy cobblestones. It looked like a nightmare. I felt very happy in the 3 days I spent there. Why do I say it is "spartan"? No fridge or wardrobe, no tea and coffee facilities in the room (just a kettle and instant coffee in the communal area), insufficient lighting to read in bed. The bathroom was excellent though. But still, I strongly recommend it for its friendly atmosphere, lovely staff, and interesting style. …

This is a nice small hotel situated in an old building that has been beautifully converted. We spent 5 nights in a room with 3 separate balconies and a big hydro bath with shower, it was a good size, well lit and had some nice artwork with adequate storage space. The room had good double glazing, certainly needed on weekend nights when the streets are lively, the room had air conditioning, unfortunately not switched on yet as the temperatures at night were cool and our days were warm. The breakfast area is in the cellar and has a common table, it is very picturesque, the lady that does the breakfast is very good, as is the selection of food. We liked everything about the hotel, it was comfortable, great location, nice people and fair value. Look forward to returning.
