The Hotel Casa Capitel is an ancient Renaissance palace built in 1503 and located in the picturesque area of the Albaicin, in front of the Alhambra in Granada and in the city center, close to the cathedral. It is a palace with lintels and Tuscan columns, Corinth capitals, Arabic chromium-plated beams; Renaissance decorated wooden ceiling and two Roman columns.Among all the artistic whole stands out an exquisite Nazari Capitel carved in alabaster, what makes it a piece unique in the world.Wooden beams original from the XVIth century are leaned on the artistic whole. These beams support the first and second floor of the building.

Excellent location in old town! Close to Alhambra and other sites. Very clean. Located in a charming old manor house. Has an elevator. Offers breakfast. Staff is friendly. Outer door has a buzzer for security. Would stay here again!

Hotel's Favourite
It's a very nice, small, cozy, charming and really old hotel (XVIth century building). We had a Superior room, which is still inexpensive, but absolutely amazing in terms of it's character. You would love the wooden ceiling/roof rather (techo en español). The ground floor with reception, open patio and shared area is also beautiful. Staff is very nice and helpful. Even if you can't park your car there and you can't come with a car (it won't fit into the street), that is not any problem, you would actually love the fact that it is not there. If you want to visit Alhambra, it's a walking 20 mins distance and this walk is worth making. If we are back to Granada anytime, I will not be looking for anything else than Casa del Capitel Nazari.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, incredibly central, and still has modern amenities! The hotel was in a converted palace, but still had fast internet, an elevator, and air conditioning. The staff was incredibly helpful and we were within walking distance of both the downtown tourist attractions and of course, the Alhambra. Highly recommend a stay!

We had a great stay at the the Nazari. It is the perfect location to explore the city and right across from the Alhambra and the Hammam. Raquel, our host, was super helpful with directions and suggestions. The rooms are small but perfect for a couple on the run.

The hotel is a beautiful 16th-century palace in a good location, convenient to see the sights of Granada. The staff are friendly and helpful, even knowing where the local vegetarian-friendly restuarants are (not always easy in Andalusia).

If you are visiting beautiful Granada, chances are you are drawn by it’s wonderful architecture and character and not looking for a sterile Ibis. The hotel fits the bill. The building has character galore, with courtyard balconies and beamed ceilings. The location is excellent - signposted from Plaza nueva, just off one side street. There are a few steep steps for access, but we managed, with some mobility issues. The staff at reception were very, very friendly and lovely. We had a basic room, with 15ft high ceilings and a quirky layout. The shower cubicle could be updated but it all worked perfectly. Breakfast - served in a very small room, you specify a time slot. At 8am it was v chaotic and difficult to navigate around the options. We snuck in at 7.50 the following day and it was much better. Lots of choice, including cubes of tortilla and tomato pulp. The only negative was the coffee from the machine. It was gritty and unpleasant. We took our own sachets the following day. Other than that this is a great hotel with lovely staff and the perfect place for your stay in Granada. Tip - book the 9am entrance for the palaces in the Alhambra and get a taxi or bus up the hill! Muchisimas gracias, el hotel es precioso!

Outstanding! The setting is on a quiet side street, but close to everything. The staff is friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. Our room was very elegant with a balcony overlooking the river and a large bathroom with a jacuzzi. The decor retains the character of the original building with columns, tiles and quiet courtyards with fountains. Everything is very clean and efficient. They provide an excellent breakfast. The restaurant has an old world ambience and serves unique dishes with personal service.

We loved staying at Hotel Nazari. Out of 3 hotels that I picked for our 1 night stay in Granada, this hotel was recommended by our local Alhambra guide. Of course I took her recommendation & booked it. It was so cute! Almost from a historic fairy tale. It is located in a center of the old town. Walking distance to everything. When you are in the hotel you feel like you went back in time (in a good way) So much history, The room was charming. Very old & quirky yet had everything you would wish for & more! We had a little balcony into the courtyard. Super cute. After a long day of walking we sat out there having tea & sweets. Staff was wonderful. Everything was top notch.
