We had an excellent 2 night stay at Hotel Puerta de las Granadas. What is there not to like? Amazing value, clean, warm, quiet, great water pressure, comfortable beds, friendly and efficient staff and as close as you can possibly get to the Alhambra without actually staying up there. If we had been there when the weather was warmer the roof top terrace would have been a real treat. Would recommend it without hesitation.

A small hotel located in the heart of Granada, nearly everything including the Alhambra located within walking distance. Staff were friendly, affable, and gave tips and advice.

Rooms were clean with all brand new fittings albeit a little on the small side. We had a balcony which overlooked the street and that street led up to the Alhambra. As a bonus, the toilet actually had a bidet and the bathroom only had a shower which was not a problem.

I really enjoyed my stay in this lovely city. Hotel rates were extremely reasonable and would recommend it to any visitor

Travelled with friends so had 2 different rooms. Both at back of building so nice and quiet as way from street noise. Friend’s room was in the newer section, was very nicely renovated and had a courtyard, Mine was in the original hotel and looked over a patio. My fridge was on but didn’t seem to make anything cold despite fiddling with the dials. Rooms had kettles and tea/coffee and toiletry supplies such a shower caps. Great view of The Alhambra from rooftop bar. Good central location but up a hill if that’s a problem for people with mobility issues. Staff, especially Rosario were extremely helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Good morning, We would like to thank you for choosing our hotel for your stay in the city and for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased to know that both of you enjoyed your time at our establishment. We are glad to hear that you found your room quiet and appreciated the recent renovation of your friend's room. We are sorry that your fridge was not working properly, and we would have liked to have known during your stay so we could have fixed it immediately. Please note that our customer service is available 24 hours to assist you in any situation that may arise during your stay. We are happy to know that you enjoyed our in-room amenities such as the kettle, tea/coffee, and personal grooming supplies. Additionally, we are delighted that you enjoyed the view from our rooftop bar, where you can see the stunning Alhambra. We strive to offer an excellent location in the city center, although it is true that our hotel is located on a hill, which may be a challenge for people with mobility issues. However, we are pleased that this was not a problem for you. Finally, we are very grateful for your comment about our staff, especially Rosario. We always work hard to ensure that our guests receive excellent service, and we are pleased to know that we have achieved this with you. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to our hotel in the future. Thank you again for choosing us!

We stayed here in 2018, and whilst it was basic, it was clean, good value and extremely convenient for the Alhambra and city, so we decided to stay again.

We were completely unprepared for the beautiful overhaul and extension the hotel has under gone since our last visit.

The hotel is modern and stylish.

Our room was also modern, stylish, comfortable, spacious and air conditioned. We took an upgrade for a little under €8, which was well worth it just for the experience of the Japanese toilet!

The hotel has a roof terrace restaurant which we enjoyed delicious local food.

The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating.

All of the above does not reflect the cost which in my opinion is beyond excellent value for money!

We will certainly be back again just as soon as we are able to return to Granada!

My son and I stayed two nights. It's in the perfect location. You walk out the door and turn left to great shops, the plaza nueva and buses to downtown. You turn right and walk right up to the Alhambra. The tapas restaurant on the 4th floor has an amazing view of the Alhambra and Granada, and the food was excellent. I can't eat gluten and their QR code menu lists allergens and ingredients for everything. I ate safely. The same folks who run the upstairs restaurant also cook up a fabulous hot and cold buffet breakfast in the basement with perfectly fried eggs, bacon, and even beans for the Brits. The room had powerful AC, and a bathroom that was disconcertingly modern, with two knobs and no labels in the shower. The top knob goes left for the overhead shower and right for the spray wand. The bottom knob is hot at the top and cold at the bottom. Everyone was friendly and we felt lucky to be there. Oh! And a nice balcony terrace to look out on a completely charming street. And quiet too!
You can see the hotel restaurant from the Alhambra!

Thank you to the team at Hotel Puerta De Las Granadas - the efforts of everyone made for a wonderfully agreeable stay in the city of Granada.

Well placed to visit both the city itself and more specific locations such as the Albayzin & Alhambra complex, Puerta De Las Granadas offers a small number of comfortable and attractively furnished rooms - some of which have a view of the Alcazaba (fortress) part of the Alhambra.

The hotel also has a rooftop bar / restaurant that we took advantage of for an evening drink, as well as serving a good value and filling breakfast on the bottom floor. There is also a gym at this hotel and whilst we did not use it, we checked it out and found it to be well equipped.

A special shout out must go to Rosario, who was very helpful and efficient in arranging some extra special touches for our stay - muchisimas gracias!

This hotel is highly recommended, should you be looking for a quality break in one of the gems of Andalucia.

Great location and helpful staff. Rooms are nicely decorated and I loved the modern bathroom with Japanese toilets. Not too much noise from the street either. Getting the room with the view was worth it, but the cava and chocolate add on was not worth it (small chocolates and water was no longer cold and chilling cava when I arrived).

This isn’t the hotel’s fault, so I didn’t deduct a star, but I was not thrilled with the laundry service. I asked for items to be washed cold and line dried, and what I got back was discolored and heavily wrinkled. There’s blue detergent residue on one item as well. I’m hoping I can save these items washing them at home as they were purchased new for vacation.

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with us. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our great location, helpful staff and nicely decorated rooms. It is wonderful to know that you liked the modern bathrooms, including the Japanese sinks, and that the noise from the street did not bother you during your stay. We are sorry that the complement of champagne and chocolate did not meet your expectations. Your feedback is valuable, and we will review this service to ensure that it meets our guests' expectations in the future. We sincerely regret the problems you had with the laundry service. Our service does not include ironing service, it is only washing and drying. Depending on the fabric of the clothes, some garments may come out more wrinkled. We are sorry to hear that you found traces of detergent on some of your garments and we will take your comment into consideration to be more careful when we provide this service. Although this is an external service, we understand your frustration and disappointment. . We hope you are able to retrieve your items and we sincerely regret any inconvenience this may have caused you during your vacation. Your feedback is essential to us as we continually strive to improve our services. We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you back in the future and provide you with an even better experience. Was surprised to read some negative views on here. This hotel is excellent value. I thought the standard of comfort, cleanliness, decor, and amenities was well above that of a three star hotel. Stayed in a double room on the second floor which was the cheapest on offer (21-26 December) and the room was easily spacious enough for two people staying 5 nights, so I’m not sure where these reviews come from complaining that the rooms are small! The en suite was also spacious with a great shower. The bed was very comfortable and there was no noise from outside after hours. The patio and rooftop bar are great: you get a view of the Alhambra (Alcazba) on one side and the cathedral on the other. The interior of the hotel is really cozy and warm with a peaceful library area and a fitness centre. The location couldn’t be better: you’re within walking distance of the Alhambra, the Albacin, and the Cathedral. Staff were all friendly and helpful during the stay. Overall this is excellent value for money: I couldn’t believe the standard we received for the money paid. Very highly recommended for Granada. Would definitely stay again!

Would not recommend staying here unless you are without a car and you want easy access to the Alhambra, the only good thing about this hotel is that as well as their overpriced rooftop bar with decent views. Whatever you are doing, absolutely do not bring your car here. Never. It is impossible to get to on one lane streets that deny most cars that aren't busses or taxis or motorcycles. I you are renting a car, just park in a parking in the San Augistin parking garage, around a 15 minute walk from the hotel. The people at the hotel tell you to Drop your bags off at the hotel, then come back and park, then walk to the hotel. Please do not do this. I saw a car accident occur because a car tried to enter one of these streets near the hotel. If you see any man in their 50s or 60s trying to offer help to you, refuse it, because they will just take you to the hotel, then you will have to take your car back, and they will try to request 20 euros from you.Unless you have a walking disability, do not listen to the hotel and simply walk your bags up the hill. Service at the hotel was great though.

Dear Mr. Jack, Thanks for sharing your review. Please note that all our customers receive into their personal email detailed instructions accompanied with illustrative pictures of how to reach our hotel, normally with this in hand, almost all our customers get till our door without any problem, and for the issue of dropping luggage at the hotel before parking, this is not a must, it is just our recommendation for those coming with many and heavy cases, of course everyone is free to follow the indications he considers most suitable for him/her, we just provide all the possible options and it is up to our customers to follow what they consider most convenient for them, on the other hand, we have never seen a car accident occur simply because someone tried to enter into the centre with his car; it must have occurred because of something else, but not for merely accessing the centre of Granada. Regarding the man trying to help other people in exchange for money, this is something that goes beyond our control and responsibility; in this case, you should just avoid this type of "scamming-free" help. Finally, thank you so much for appreciating our service and rate it as great, it has been a big pleasure for us. Thanks and regards,

Hotel is in a perfect location with everything on the doorstep. A short uphill walk (10/15 mins) will bring you to the entrance of Alhambra, or an easy walk into the Albayzin district or the cathedral approx 5 mins away. The hotel is surrounded by plenty of reasonably priced tabernas, restaurants and cafes.

We stayed 4 nights. Our room (Mauror superior & romantic) overlooked the rear garden wall/courtyard so not an amazing view but compensated by the exceptional peace and quiet, despite our leaving the patio door open at night for fresh air - quite surprising given that we were in the heart of the historical triangle! Bed was a very comfortable 150 cm (UK King size). The room was clean and immaculate. We enjoyed the reasonably priced rooftop bar with views to the Alhambra and surrounding streets.

The hotel is approx 18 mins in a taxi from the bus station (fare only €11 to hotel; €9 back to bus station) and well worth the money.

We could not fault this lovely, little boutique hotel which exceeded our expectations. Staff were always friendly, it was clean, immaculate and modern in a fabulous location and we would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Will be recommending to family and friends! Would suggest booking direct with the hotel - booking was simple, communication excellent and offers are sometimes available!

Thank you Puerta De Las Granadas

Hi Terri - reading from the description of the room it may seem that the views from the Mauror superior room are of the hotel courtyard. My husband and I stayed in the Gomerez room with a balcony with views of the street to the Alhambra. The space on the balcony of the Gomerez room doesnt allow you to have a table and 2 chairs and relax, if this is what your question is. It is standing room. But their garden/courtyard is very nice to sit and relax over a cuppa but we found the smokers use that area a lot so we couldnt enjoy that space. There's heaps to see and do in Granada that you will not spend much time in your room/hotel. And the close proximity to the Alhambra (walking distance) is second to none when it comes to you making a decision whether or not to stay at this place. Happy to answer any further questions you may have re your travels to Granada :-)

The rooms are quite compact, I wouldn't say there is room to put more beds in. Two adjacent rooms might be a better bet.

No parking at the hotel but you can stop outside to offload luggage. The access road has restrictions so you need to advise the hotel of your car details so that they can advise the local police. The hotel will advise details of a car park about ten minutes walk away and they will arrange a discounted rate of about 15€ per night. On reserving the hotel will send you full details and instructions by email.

Dear Bloomie M We have agreed special hourly rates and parking bonuses with the following public parking lots: PARKING PUBLICO SAN AGUSTIN at 400m from the hotel. To pay at the Hotel 17 € per 24 hours. (Retail price: 25 € per 24 hours) Request indications of how to get to the hotel where you will be appropriately informed on this matter. PARKING PUBLICO TRIUNFO at 900m from the hotel. Pay at the Hotel 17 € per 24h (Retail price: 24 € per 24 hours). Ask the hotel´s staff for the indications of how to arrive to TRIUNFO parking lot, take a taxi in front of the parking and get to the Hotel. With the difference between the official price of 24 € charged by the parking lot and the 17 € that you will pay for it at the hotel you can pay the taxi. Best regards
