Nicely appointed and spacious room. Air conditioning would not cool room enough, so had to open window. Reception staff were OK but not over-friendly. Excellent breakfast. Inconsistent Wi-Fi. Located in more of a residential area. About 15 minutes walk from railway, and 15 minutes in opposite direction to alcazar/cathedral/city area. Was not attracted to nearby eating options, but plenty of... More

Seville was great and have plans to go back but not in this hotel. Our room was hot and we have to ask them to turn on the aircon but they refused because the manager said its cool enough. I have never experience a hotel with such arrogance with no regard for guest comfort. They dont even know the time... More

On arrival the hotel lobby looks grand......that's as far as it goes the rooms are dated and very very hot indeed. I stayed October 10th for 2 nights I enjoyed the location and proximity of the hotel to all the sights and centre but that's as far as it goes.

I came today to check in to the hotel. When i got to my room with 27°C outside (81°F), the first thing i wanted to do, was to turn on the air conditioner. I called the front desk beccause I thought I was not doing it right. The front desk person told me that at this temperatures, they don't turn... More

We had a reservation for 4 nights that was made via a travel agent in Madrid. Upon arrival we were appalled. The hotel is straight out of the 50's and 60's. it is worn and bedraggled. It was too depressing to stay; we immediately found another hotel and checked out. The location was not very convenient either. It was worth... More

It is a fairly basic hotel. It isn't in the centre and the area has seen better days but the rooms are adequate. As commented by another reviewer the rooms are of a decent size and clean. The beds were quite comfortable. For our needs (we had an appointment nearby) it suited us down to the ground. We didn't eat... More

We paid about $63/night for this hotel booked through Priceline. Although, it's not really 4*, it's not all that bad for the price. The rooms were big and clean. The bathroom was big too. The towels were replaced every day and the beds were made too. Breakfast was not included and was 9 Euros/Person, though we eat at a near... More

The Gran Hotel Lar is advertised as "four star" but having stayed in many hotels over the years I can assure you it is not. Yes, it is clean, handily located, the staff are generally helpful but it is as basic as a motel - and more basic than some motels. Our room was utterly lacking in English international TV... More

The location is great to be close to the rail station and in a few blocks you reach the centre of the city. The hotel is an old fashionable one, stack on the time. Although my room has a heavy smell of cigarrette on the carpet, the rest was very good and confortable. If you need to use the computer... More

The hotel is old from all points of view: rooms are old, lifts are old, the hall is old. Surely in the 60's it was a real grand hotel but now it looks like an old lady who regrets old glory days. We booked a room on internet and when we checked in they say we had to pay an... More
