hotel listed as 5 star -would think more like 3 star plus - no recreation facilities , very old fashioned ,shower located in bath quite difficult to access if mobility is limited - staff excellent ,breakfast offered buffet and English - no comparison !! -take the buffet great selection cereals ,yogurt ,fresh fruit - staff in dining room very helpful...

This hotel seems like the "grand old lady" of Gijón. It certainly shows some age and has some quirks like you have to pick up the very "analogue" lock for your safe in the reception. But that said it is nice and the room we had was very big. The bathroom itself was bigger than some hotel rooms I have...

Just returned from a lovely week in Gijon staying at this hotel Would really recommend it if you like good old fashioned service and a real welcome. Excellent breakfast and an upgrade to a superior room after the first night Nothing too much trouble for all staff and a really good location

Good location, huge room and bathroom, all for a great price. Front desk staff was very helpful and nice. I needed to print something and they had wi-fi printing. Finishes in the room and bathroom are dated, but it is very clean. Great value!

We spent here only one night and we basically just slept here since we checked in late in the afternoon and checked out early in the morning. Service at the Front desk was good, the room was nice, clean and comfortable. We didn't have any issues overall so we recommend it.

The hotel is located in the heart of Gijon, very close to a parking garage - which makes it very convenient because parking is very limited in the city. They gave us a ticket to subsidize the price of the parking which we thought was a nice touch. We needed a hotel for three people - which is not very...

Nice enough. No restaurant which proved a bit of a pain as most restaurants are towards the seafront and port area which whilst not far away was tricky to get back to hotel in the dark.! It gets dark earlier than the rest of Spain and gets light later!. The price probably reflects what this hotel offers. Breakfast was pretty...

We could not believe the amazing room we got and the price. We had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and were in the centre of Gijon. They also subsidised the parking from 20 euros to 10. Would definitely go back.

The hotel is very old and in desperate need of a remodel. And the staff act like you are bothering them if you ask for anything, which they inevitably tell you that you can't have anyway. If you are staying a day and need to be downtown, then this hotel could work. But be prepared for sullen and unhelpful staff.

The Hotel is centrally located and is within easy walking distance from the bus station. The room was a good size, with a balcony, but the decor was rather tired. There was a big bathroom, but with a few cracked tiles around the shower. The buffet breakfast was good with plenty of choice and friendly, helpful staff.Beware of the noisy air conditioning!
