We arrived as the girl who worked there was having lunch, which showed such a professional approach to her work by seeing to her guests first. As we walked in the girl working had literally shoved her plate to one side, still steaming hot and placed her laptop on the table to check us in. To get around the city...

I loved my stay in San Sebastian thanks to Pension Goiko. The staff were so welcoming that I really felt as though I was being looked after by a family! The pension is situated right in the heart of the old town and in the middle of the action, surrounded by bars and delicious pinxtos. The room was clean and...

As far as value for money goes we were very happy to be right in the heart of the old town paying reasonable rates for good rooms. It's the...

When we arrive they received us in the kitchen with a lot dirty clothes on the table. There was no reception desk at all. Actually, it was impossible to figure it out who were the people working there. They don't use credit cards not even debit cards. The towels they rent had an awful smell. And it was really expensive...

“If you're worried about the noise level there is an interior room to the dorms that does not have a window. It seemed to be quieter. Also, if Pension Goiko is full you might ask about their other properties. I'm sure they are maintained as well as this one.”

“Higher floor for less noise, but lower floor if the elevator isn't working. Further from the main entry door or bathrooms for quiet as well.”
DomiDrakcir, 15 Jul 2014 | Read review
“If you check in early they give you the preference to choose the room you want and probably with an upgrade.”

“Overlooking the street, be prepared to hear the street cleaners @ 3am, but then just have a siesta to make up for it! Or take ear plugs and enjoy the atmosphere when you aren't sleeping.”

“The 3 person room on the second floor for accommodation has a view of essentially the "airing cupboard". It was basically a square at the centre of the building with a greenhouse styled roof that the hostel and residents used to dry their washing.”
