We have just returned from a three night weekend stay at the excellent Hotel Saratoga staying from Friday until Monday. The Hotel is in an excellent central location and can easily be reached from the Airport on the 1A bus which operates every 20 minutes (fare 5 euros) and takes about 30 minutes to get from the Airport to the Hotel, stopping across the road on the Passeo Mallorca. Throughout our stay from our arrival to our departure we found all of the Hotel staff very welcoming and helpful and the service very efficient. The bedroom and the public rooms were all kept very clean and tidy. We had a large room on the third floor at the front of the Hotel which was very comfortable, with television, a fridge, a room safe and a large bathroom with a rainfall shower. During the winter, breakfast, lunch and dinner are available in the 7th floor restaurant which has a small outdoor terrace and has great views of the City and the Port. From Monday to Friday a fixed price lunch menu option is available in the restaurant, with a price discount for hotel guests. There is also a café/bar behind reception on the ground floor serving drinks and food. There is an outdoor swimming pool, a sauna, a small heated indoor pool and a gym on the ground floor and a large outdoor sun terrace in the rear courtyard of the Hotel. Inside the building relaxing lounges are located on the ground and 1st floors. A swimming pool, pool bar and sun terrace is located on the roof of the Hotel with great views of the City and the Port. (The rooftop pool and bar were not in use during our stay). The Hotel is very conveniently situated for shops, restaurants and attractions and many shops remain open until late into the evening. This was our second visit to the Saratoga Hotel and we would thoroughly recommend it as an excellent place to stay in Palma.…
I have never stayed anywhere before which just ‘has it’. The staff are a family of friendly courteous people who are extremely proud and care about the amazing service that they provide with a smile 24/7. The food and drink is excellent. We spent the majority of our time when we weren’t sight seeing in the Sky Bar where the staff provided perfect drinks time and time again. We ate in the Jazz Bar on the 8th Floor and the food, ambience and service was second to none. This was a truly memorable experience and we will definitely be escaping to Palma whenever we can to relive it again and again. Palma is rich with fantastic places to eat and drink, but if you’re staying at the Saratoga - or even if you’re not! - book a table on the terrace of the Jazz Bar and you’ll be glad you did. Thank you to Hotel Saratoga and all staff for our amazing mini break. Al and Kerry…
My partner and I and two friends spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day staying at this amazing hotel . We had the best time from start to finish . All the staff were very warm and welcoming . The atmosphere was really relaxed and friendly . The rooms were immaculate , with fabulous showers . The location is so central it’s perfect . We enjoyed Christmas lunch and two breakfasts in the hotel and simply could not fault anything . We hope to return as soon as possible for another short break . Thank you everyone at the Saratoga . We look forward to seeing you again soon
Far too big to be classed as a boutique hotel in my opinion. But if you want to stay in the city centre, rather than by the sea - this could be a good choice. There are plenty of bars and restaurants withiin walking distance and bars are easy to come by. Our welcome was good and the staff are helpful. The room we had was quite small we thought, but adequate for our needs. Disappointing factors would be the lack of a residents bar - meaning you have to go elsewhere if you want a nightcap. This rather defeats the point as it involves a walk and a lot of queuing. Breakfast was not enjoyable either. More so because the hotel is vast and it is basically a free for all with hundreds of people all trying to get food at roughly the same time. With limited staff, broken coffee facilities and only one person doing eggs on the pass, this is a reciope for disaster and a long wait. I found breakfast unusually stressful. The smimmimg pools are more for decorative purposes - but nice on a hot day. …
05/12/22. 1 person. 20:15. After confirming my dinner reservation for Thursday at this hotel, I decided to take a drink at this ‘GASTROBAR’ which is operated by the hotel but is a separate operation and open to non-residents and has its own terrace and inside salon. A perfect house rosé was served by a professional, who was welcoming - as are all Spanish and other waiters, no matter whatever their origins.. it’s par for the course here…. With the football going on there was a group of beer-drinking young men who were well- behaved and did as the waiter told them as to where they could stand and smoke…. The Spanish youngsters are taught how to behave in adult environments and are a credit to the Spanish education system. Enough said. If you are in Palma try this easy-going place.. The Saratoga Hotel operation is 4 Stars but has 5 Star service! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. E.H,…
This is a lovely hotel in a great central position. Have stayed in Palma a couple of times before and decided we would like to stay there and we were not disappointed. Our room and the public areas were lovely. Only one little criticism- after going out for dinner we usually went to the pavement café/bar for a coffee and brandy and met up with another couple who were staying in the hotel. A couple of nights we were still drinking and chatting and the bill was brought to us and the tables and chairs packed up for the night. Reception staff was very nice.
Perfect hotel in a perfect location. Close to some amazing restaurants and tapas bars. The hotel has great facilities. Breakfast was bountiful with lots of choice. Within walking distance of port area and cathedral. Hotel was immaculate and staff very polite and helpful. Perfect for our city break of 3 night's. Highly recommended.
Fabulous hotel, beautifully furnished, attentive staff and a great selection of food served at breakfast. The bedrooms were a good size, very comfortable beds and the showers were absolutely fantastic.
Loved our one night stay in this beautiful hotel. Wonderful customer service, spotless clean throughout & plentiful breakfast. Dinner in the Rooftop Sky Bar was so special with amazing views of The Cathedral & not to mention the Super Cool Rooftop pool. Will be back.
I cannot fault this place, why didn't I find it before?! I've only stayed one night as I'm moving up into the mountains, but really wish I could stay longer. Excellent customer service, in particular from Angel on reception. I arrived around 1030 and just wanted to leave my bag for the day, but he actually checked if my room was ready! When I got back in the afternoon he had taken my bag upstairs for me. There were lots of lovely touches like that. Comfy bed, spotlessly clean, lovely towels, good TV, great shower, wonderful staff, 10min walk to cathedral. Sky bar, where I ate the most delicious food, was the icing on the cake.
