The staff were exceptional, the room was really nicely decorated and the bathtub was like a cave! Really well located for central Palma and lots of great restaurants nearby. You can use the spa and rooftop pool at the Nakar hotel around the corner too. Only one negative was that the hotel offered a discount to pay directly rather than through booking.com which I was fine with but said that it didn’t include breakfast which the booking.com reservation did. However I only realised this afterwards and we probably spent more going out for breakfasts than the hotel discount!

The hotel Palma Riad, which opened in 2021, was exactly the right choice for me. It is so centrally located in the old town that I could walk to all the shops, the cathedral, the harbour and all the restaurants mentioned above. This hotel won me over with its exceptional Moroccan style, beautiful rooms, great bar and excellent service all around. The service was noticeable in all areas, whether it was the room service twice a day, the escort to the room with explanation of all amenities and technology, the free water and capsule coffee machine in the room, the offering of a water bottle to take away each time you leave the hotel or the good service at breakfast, everywhere the customer was the focus. The Junior Suite was cosy and with dark colors, it was clean and I never had such a comfortable hotel bed. The breakfast also offers enough for vegans: fruit, bread, jam, crunchy breakfast cereals from the buffet as well as the possibility to order something from the breakfast menu. I always ordered the avocado toast without butter, egg and cheese. It was very tasty. In addition, I asked for hummus on the first morning and so, from the second morning onwards, I was additionally sent delicious hummus with dried tomatoes and baba ghanoush by the chef. That was really very thoughtful. The hotel also has an oriental restaurant called Za'atar in the neighbouring building. I did not have time to try the restaurant. But I will certainly make up for this during my next stay. Especially as I was told that vegan dishes can also be prepared in the restaurant. By the way, the bar of the hotel offers excellent cocktails and it is so cosy that you would like to stay there for a long time. I will definitely check into this hotel again on my next trip to Palma de Mallorca.…

Pros: -This hotel is SICK. I'd call it a"gothic luxe" design dream. Heavy velvet drapes and velvet furniture. All black walls. The light fixtures were all stunning. From the crystal chandeliers with leaf designs to the Toucan wooden carved light fixtures that (very dimly) light the public stairs. -Staff were eager to help. For example, the sofa in our living area was long, wide, plush and velvety! So, our 2 friends were fine sleeping on it as is! However, the staff asked several times to help; sending housekeeping to turn it into a bed! - We stayed in the "family suite" which had a brilliant king sized bed that could fit 4 people! Biggest bed I have ever seen in my entire LIFE. -Our room had a "macro" and "micro" bar. The macro bar was in the living area facing the fireplace and TV mirror. The living area also had a full working desk! -Bedroom: also had a mirror that doubled as a TV! Also, an incredible mirror on top of the canopy of the bed. -Palatial bathroom was fitted with a tub that fits 4 people! The tub is so huge it takes 25 minutes to fill it! -Luxurious Molten Brown bathroom amenities that were beautifully presented (the shampoo etc. was dressed like jewelry, with tassels etc.) -Speakeasy in the lobby looked very cool! Most places in Old Town close at midnight. The speakeasy to the side of the lobby bar was still bustling when we got back around 11:30pm! Cons: -Dark (in room and in public spaces) -not enough closet space- only had an antique wooden dresser (with a safe) and hanging rods to the side of the dresser -Heavy drapes- not electric- made the room even more dark. -No pool -No room service or place to get a midafternoon snack. Limited food options. Tip: the restaurant La Bodeguilla- about three doors down- is incredible! They were open around 2/3pm and were still packed. …

Now don’t get me wrong, the location of this small hotel is great, and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The place is modern, clean and tidy and the rooms (other than an iron) have everything you need including GHD straighteners and hair dryer. The hotel doesn’t have a pool (and if we hadn’t enquired we would never have known) but you can use the nearby sister hotel Nakar for free (which was lovely and a place we would highly recommend). The reason for 3 star is purely down to value for money. For £600 a night for a ‘suite’ (it wasn’t a suite it was an average sized room and nice sized bathroom) it simply wasn’t great value. The bar is nice but was very small and never appeared to be busy and the rooms are so dark it is all a little ‘too cool for school’. The Hotel Born next door is half the price and has a vibrant courtyard with a buzzing bar scene, probably where we will book next time. In summary it was nice but for the price was not great value for money.…

First of all, a very cozy and eye-catching hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. They were able to assist in any request we had. Interiors of the hotel are lovely. The black-and-gold colors, lit candles everywhere, shadows, give the hotel something of mystery, but luxury and elegance on the other hand. We booked the penthouse. It was spacious, very elegant and comfy. The cherry on the top - breakfast. Tasty, with hot plates on request. And a good coffee. What is also very important - the hotel is for adults and is located in a very city-center of Palma. Perfect for sightseeing.
