The owners warmed to me when I arrived , treat them with respect and they will more than return it. Had a room with en-suite and a very comfortable bed. There is communal fridge and views from the roof terrace are quite nice. Very centrally placed. Free WIFI is very good in the room.

We stayed six nights, in a two-beds room with bathroom. Apart from electric wires hanging, and poor finishing, the room is clean (no cucarachas) with a tv set, beds are decent, the bathroom has a shower/bath with hot water and a bidet, towels are changed, and wishing to store food in a fridge, there's a couple of refrigerators, as well as a basic kitchen for guests, that we actually didn't use. Wi-fi connection is good. Mind you, rooms are at the second/third floor, and there is no lift

My friend and I visited La Gomera last weekend, and found this hostel on the internet and booked it beforehand, so we wouldn't have to look when we arrived. We booked the cheapest we could find, so a room for 2 with shared bathroom. On the website it said that check-in could happen between 12.30pm - 00.00am. When we got there at 12.30 we were told in an unfriendly manner that "of course the room was not ready yet" and she kept saying "later" without giving us a specific hour. A bit annoying, but not really a problem, so we left and said we'd be back later then and just go see the island. When we came back at 8pm to check-in we were received by the same lady, who asked us what we were doing checking in so late, that she thought we left for somewhere else since we did not come back earlier. She told us that we should feel VERY lucky that she still had a room for us. As we informed her that in the booking it said check-in until midnight, she got mad an said "this is not a hotel!". We were a bit shocked by the treatment, but just wanted to pay and get our room, and then not talk to her anymore. But as we had just put our money on the table and were about to get our room, we were informed that the room we had reserved was not free, as the people there had decided to stay longer (what!?) but that she had another one with private bathroom free. Very strange since we had reserved that exact room, but no problem.. until she wanted us to pay 10 euros more for that room!!! And there was no moment where she excused for all of this mess. All the time angry with us and very impolite. We decided to collect our money and leave that place and that decision was the best we made in La Gomera! If you want to make sure you have a place to lay your head prior to your stay, DO NOT BOOK THIS!
