We were here as part of a tour for two nights. Had a feel of lacking loving care and attention. Suprisingly as it is used by tour groups, it seemed unable to cope with large groups for breakfast effectively. Key for room safe was "missing", television not really working. On the positive side - it is in a splendid location,... More

We spent two nights in the San Polo and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very well situated on the edge of the city and built into the remains of an old church. A short walk takes you right into the Plaza Mayor. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the continental breakfast substantial.

We were there as part of a tour. The hotel only has one small lift so it took a bit of time to get to our room. The rooms were bright and clean and ours had a clear view of the town. There was a wide selection of food for breakfast. As others have mentioned, the hotel is conveniently situated... More

This is splendid location hotel, 3* rooms; we had dinner there was in the same range as the chambers. Hotel looks very attractive from the outside, right by the ruins of an old church. Nice and efficient staff and reception, helpful! At the restaurant ladies were also welcoming, served most enjoyable dinner, the soup was amazing! Yes, I will be... More

Has a couple of nights here and the location is ideal in the edge of the old town with the main sights only a 5 minute walk away. The hotel is just about 3 star with nice clean rooms but the service is poor with a distinct lack of interest from the staff. Hard to get a drink, the lift... More

The San Polo is a small but compact hotel, which has been built partly over, and incorporates, the ruins of a an old medieval church. It is a pity that greater use could not have been made of the site, as it is quite atmospheric - especially when flood-lit at night - but as it is, just part of the... More

We stayed here on our way back to the Ferry in Santander ,My only regret was we didn't have more time to enjoy the hotel and Salamanca. To be honest the pictures made us a little nervous as they make the place look a little dated but we arrived and what a surprise. We had two room one for our... More

We stayed here as part of an organised tour with Riviera for 2 nights. Having read some reviews beforehand I'd some misgivings but there was no need at all. The hotel is small, but is ideal for a short stay. The rooms are a reasonable size and comfortable. Many have excellent views, though ours had a brick wall immediately outside... More

Stayed here for 2 nights a part of a guided tour with Riviera Travel. Was a bit concerned as I had seen some negative comments on TripAdvisor. I needn't have worried. It's a lovely small hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely view of the Cathedral. The location is good with about a 5-10 minute... More
