We arrived just after check-in time to find only two working at their reception desk. Each with guests and one ahead of us in line. We waited patiently for around 10 minutes as they slowly managed to complete the check in of one. In that time the line had grown with 8 more guests waiting behind me to check in as well. I was next to check in, or thought I was, but an additional check in person stepped up to another station to help. But instead of asking for the next one he just helped an impatient guest waiting off to the side instead, making me wait almost 20 minutes just to check in. And beyond just changing you for the room they take a deposit, which I never had happen to me before. I have had hotels put credit cards on file but not actual deposits on top of the room charge. After we got to the room, had a lovely view but the windows were very dirty and couldn’t even take good pictures from it. Then after getting back from going out and about we found the phone and tv were dead. So no room service available or entertainment in our room . I went down to the front desk and asked about it and they said the whole building was out and there was nothing they could do. After we went to bed we were awoken by a maintenance man at 12:30 at night asking to fix our tv. I told him we were sleeping. I was so upset they would even think to send someone at that time of night, when I didn’t even ask them to come, I could hardly sleep after that. I went to the front desk the next morning to ask them about resending the maintenance man back to the room while we were out but they explained the whole building phone and tv was still out. I then asked why they would send someone to fix our tv in the middle of the night. They had no explanation. As of our last night here still no tv, phone, or room service. They have no estimate on when it might come back. For what I thought was a higher end hotel their customer service is lacking and maintenance of their building sub-standard.

Hotel's Favourite
I stayed here as part of a business conference in June 2022. Overall, this was a great stay with seriously outstanding food! The check in process was super smooth and I felt very welcomed. I think his name was David (the gentleman who helped me with my bags and guided me to my room, what an amazing level of service!) I stayed on the 18th floor in a very spacious, clean and comfortable room. Sometimes it takes a while to settle into a 'new' bed but I slept very well from the 1st night. My only complaint of the room was that the shower 'leaked'. Due to design, water ran out of the shower area and required significant amount of towels to dry. I try and stay green and keep my towels for the duration of the stay. However, with the shower issue, I needed new towels every day. On our first night we had a welcome dinner in the Nobu Restaurant on the top floor. This was a standing dinner with bite sized portions. The quality and presentation of each dish was fantastic! During the 2 day conference, we had the buffet lunch in the Nobu Restaurant. Buffet food should not be this good!! Sushi, Salad, Mains and Desert - everything was cooked to perfection! I had several more portions of sushi that I should have! Amazing! I had a couple of business meetings in the ground floor bar / restaurant (although the hotel has a shared business room which was very good). Service was great and we were very well looked after. Location on the hotel whilst on a busy square, did not impact on my stay nor was there any noise disturbance. There are public transport links nearby. I'll certainly be back, if only for the food!

Response from Nobu Barcelona, Marketing at Nobu Hotel Barcelona
Responded 12 Jul 2022
Dear KaoZar, What a detailed review! It is a pleasure to read that we have exceeded your expectations! Thank you for recognizing David at the front desk: we care about our colleagues and he is one of our best team members. We are glad to see that you had a great experience at the Nobu restaurant. On your next visit, I would personally recommend our brunch on the weekend during which we have music and an extraordinary buffet with Nobu classics and seasonal specialties. From all the team, thank you again for staying with us and we hope to see you again soon here, your home in Barcelona. Kind regards, Laurence Dubey General Manager

This is an excellent luxury hotel located about 20 minutes walk from the Santa Barcelona. There is a train station immediately across. Everything about this hotel was impressive, from the very friendly staff at the entrance on front desk through to the excellent quality of the restaurant upstairs on the 21st floor. Nobu is well known for its quality restaurant operations on this one does tick all the boxes. The decor is particularly pleasing and very well done. Our room was well, equipped, clean, and the bed extremely comfortable. Highly recommend it.

We just returned from Barcelona after a trip to see Coldplay in concert. We stayed one night at the Nobu Hotel and really enjoyed our experience. The hotel itself is directly opposite Barcelona Sants train station which is super handy especially if you're arriving by Ave from another Spanish city. The main shopping areas are only a pleasant walk away as well. The room was very nicely furnished with a Nespresso machine and a variety of teas. The bed was comfortable too and the bathroom new and modern. The views from the hotel are amazing. We had a room on the 17th floor and had amazing views of the city. Breakfast was included and was very nice whilst the views from the restaurant are amazing with a panoramic view of the whole city. My only regret is that we only stayed one night and couldn't sample the Nobu restaurant at night enjoying the amazing views. Finally, the staff were very friendly and helpful and perfect English spoken. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for a pre cruise in May 2023. The staff is friendly and spoke English. The restaurant on the top 23rd floor was fabulous. The views are spectacular, the food was fresh and delicious, and the staff was excellent. The bed was large and comfortable, with robes and slippers provided.

The hotel room was nice and spacious. The problem was the sewer smell from the bathroom. Not sure what was causing it but it was noticeable. The location was okay, but not near the center of the city. The breakfast was average. The scrambled eggs were watery. Selection was limited.

Helpful & friendly front desk and staff, nice breakfast buffet, lovely quiet room with good bed and nice city views located in very close proximity to transportation of all types. We had a corner room with full windows which had electric black out curtains and shades. Lovely bath with spacious shower and large bath towels. Robes and slippers provided. Very enjoyable three day stay. We were concerned we would be too far away from the major tourist attractions but we found that a Metro pass with a stop one block away provided relatively quick access to all major attractions. The Placa d'Osca with many restaurants is only a 4 minute walk to the west, and the Arena with many restaurants and shopping is only am 8 minute walk south.
