The hotel is well positioned close to the metro (~5min) and within walking distance of several major sights. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was basic but clean, overall good value for the money.

Great boutique hotel. Our room was clean and spacious. Fresh towels and room made up nice each day. The complimentary water, coffee, tea was very nice. The terrace and dining area were a great place to enjoy food from the market and a bottle of wine. Close walk to major train station and great location overall. The staff was wonderful!

Stayed three nights March 20-23. Centrally located in the Eixample district and we were able to get to all of the highlights of Barcelona by foot - the port and Barceloneta beach, Catalonia Square, El Gotic, La Rambla, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Sagrada Familia basilica . Ingrid was extremely helpful and provided great details on the tourst map...

I booked a cheap long weekend away via Lastminute.com and was initially concerned that the accommodation might be fairly poor given how cheap the package was. However I needn't have been concerned the Khronos is certainly no frills, but it has very friendly staff, is clean and comfortable and benefits from a great location right in the heart of the...

We really enjoyed our stay here last week! Great designy feel to the hotel and the room was lovely and spacious - however as it was on the main road it was a bit noisy but is to be expected in a city. Walls a bit thin but luckily we weren't too disturbed! We did not have breakfast so cannot...

The hotel is located within walking distance from many of Barcelona's most famous attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was simple but adequate. The closest metro stop is a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

The hostal has no lobby downstairs with an open door as a typical hotel that I usually stay in. The gate was locked, had to buzz in and went up the stairs. The guy was very nice though, he came down and helped me with my luggage. There was an elevator but he was being super nice. Location is good....

Hostal Boutique Khronos is a small hotel that takes up what was probably one apartment in a beautiful, old building in uptown Barcelona. The building may be very old and Baroque in style, but the hotel is incredibly modern and sleek. Rooms and bathrooms are small, as is typical of European city hotels, but the balconies are GORGEOUS! There is...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
