My wife and I backpacked around Europe this past summer, and this hostel sticks out in my mind as being a cut above the rest. It was everything we asked for - clean, spacious, new, cheap..... don't stay anywhere else in Barcelona! It is walking distance from Las Ramblas and right next to the Arc de Triomph Metro stop. The...

This is a relatively new hotel (at least I think it is) located fairly close to the Arc de Triomf and about a 15 – 20 minute walk to Catalunya. The hostal is located on the first floor of an old building and only has a few rooms. The rooms also tend to be small and only 2 of them...

Dear, Thanks for your comment. Reception doesn't opens sporadically; it opens everyday, as there are several tasks to be done, such as daily cleaning, public attendance, etc. We previously arrange with our guests their arrival time. Single rooms have fan, which is already advised on all our adversited websites. Barcelona is a lovely city, but it might get very hot...

Staff is very friendly, they clean the room every day, bed is big and comfortable, everything is very cozy, bathroom is big and good, small kitchen if you can call it so – microwave, coffee, tea, refrigerator, center of the city – everything is in a walking distance, metro in 1 min walk. There’s so little space in a room...

Dear guest, thanks for your review. We have bigger rooms and also with street views, unfortunately for this time you couldn't try it this time. Be sure that next time you visit our city, you can ask us so we'll assign you one of them. For the hot water, a hint: the shower beside your room has the hot water...

I had stayed here on a weekend trip to Barcelona from Liverpool. After a tiring early morning flight I reached Girona and took the Barcelona Bus to reach Estacio D'Nord. La Isla is just a short walk away, in short a convenient location for a short stay. Pros- Great Location, a short walk away from major attractions, inexpensive, neatly arranged kitchen...

My expectations were met by this hostal. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are very basic and there is no air conditioning but if you're only looking for an inexpensive place to rest your head at night, this place would do. Only concern I had was with the flimsy door locks for security...

I understand that Barcelona is very famous city, so the price of everything is higher. But this place can not be called hostel. I assume there are some standards for hostel room, but not for Spain and definitely not for Barcelona. They sure did their best in cleaning rooms, but the closet you get can not be called room. We inform you that in order to open a Hostal in Spain, and in Barcelona, the establishment has to follow some rules and directions, about kind of furniture, room sizes, etc. If we are opened, is because we've follow the Government directions, so if you think the minimum size of the rooms in Spain and in Barcelona should be changed,...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
