I have stayed in Hotel California for 4 nights in November 2012. The hotel is very good value for money. Location is optimal. Only 1-2 minutes to Le Rambles. It is inside the street that have both McDonald's and KFC. You can not miss it. From the airport, you have two options. First, take the Aeorbus from the airport to...

Had a corner room, medium sized but with huge windows on two sides and a little balcony, right in the heart of the Gothic quarter. Amazing price for the location and service. The desk clerks during the day spoke really good English, helped us to find the best shows for the flamenco...and they were so right! they actually walked me...

Very friendly and professional personal. The rooms are very clean. The hotel is very good located close to Plaza Jaume and Plaza Real, between de Ramblas and Via Laetana, but the street where it is located is narrow and quiet. It is possible to go on foot to the beaches, to Paseo de Gracia, Plaza de Cataluña, to the Cathedral,...

Situated just off La Ramblas, fantastic location, could hear the bustle of the city. The rooms were excellent, much more than...

La Rambla at 2 minutes walk, all of BCN at your fingertip, refurbished hotel in a relatively quiet side street, helpful receptionists; we had a nice corner room at 4th floor, fully refurbished, nice bathroom, interesting illumination; fair breakfast; would absolutely recommend!

Hotel California is in a great location. It's right off Las Rambla and Placa Reial in a small alley. You can't drive into the alley way but it's close to the street so you have to walk your bags a very short distance to the hotel. It is very clean and the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences.
