I stayed here with my boyfriend last week and frankly, for the low price we'd paid, we expected much less - but we were both very satisfied. The location couldn't be better - two minute walk from the middle of La Rambla, and down an alley so it's still fairly quiet. Our room was on the fourth floor. We arrived...

Overall, a great place to stay. The location is excellent, close to las ramblas and major transportation links. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negatives are that some fresh fruit at breakfast would be nice, and the beds were very hard. These are only minor however and we would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is just one street off of Las Ramblas, down an alley so was much quieter than the main street whilst still being in a great location for sightseeing. Everywhere was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a very nice continental. There are many restaurants and bars nearby so finding places to eat is...

We enjoyed the friendly staff at Hotel California and the easily accessible sites from our location. The bed was a bit hard but that was the worst I could say. For a short visit in this busy city, the room was fine.

Not a bad stay. One street off of Las Ramblas, down an alley so not as loud. Small, basic rooms. Downside is you can hear next door neighbors doors slam loudly when they stumble in at 0300. Breakfast basic but adequate. You have to leave your key with the front desk when you go out. Near plenty of bars and...

We stayed here for a week. The hotel is in a good location for sightseeing. Our room was clean, breakfast was adequate to start the day especially the mini croissantss filled with chocolate. All staff were very friendly and the reception staff were very helpful. The only problem was our room was on the first floor so it was noisy...

I liked almost everything! It was clean, quiet and in a really great central location. Also, the staff was really helpful and friendly, they had one guy at the front desk that was by far the nicest, most helpful hotel staff member I've ever encountered in all my years travelling!! I would have given it a perfect score had it...

Welcome to the Hotel California. Spent here a great week. The location of this hotel is excellent, just on the Ramblas, as much close to everything worth seeing and living in Barcelona as it gets. You get a very nice room and a decent buffet breakfast here; the guys at the reception are really nice and ready to help and...

Stayed here for four nights and was perfect for us. Rooms were clean, food was ok and staff were helpful. Location couldn't have been better as you turned the corner you were on La Rambla meaning that there were lots of choice with restaurants and bars. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I have just spent three nights at this hotel and had a great stay at this two star hotel in the Gothic quarter. Located on a side street about a 10-15 minute walk down La Rambla from Placa de Catalunya, where the airport shuttle bus terminates. We arrived at about 10pm and were greeted warmly by reception....
