Great value, friendly staff and well appointed and comfortable room. Better standard than we expected. Good location near the metro ‘Universistat’ station and a five minute walk from the airport bus stop.
Breakfast isn’t up to much and is and is a little expensive.

A very nice hotel, close to the plaza catalunya with nice rooms, quiet, cleaned, with everything you need.
The receptionists were very kind and professionnal, speaking several languages and only here to help.
I strongly recommand this hotel for families or couples.

Thank you very much for choosing the Acta Splendid hotel for your stay in Barcelona.

Stayed at hotel during short city break to Barcelona. Our room was recently refurbised and very pleasant. Beds were extremely comfortable and made up with beafitful linens and attractively dressed with cushions. The rooms was spotlessly clean and serviced each day of our visit. Only...More
I agree with tripadvisor users that it was better than expected. Location is closed to everywhere and you can walk to the cosy pub and restaurant from this hotel. Staff is ok, not genial. Also room is clean and big enough.
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day
forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.

From Barcelona Sants to the hotel there is no shuttle but you have different choices to get the hotel. One by taxi , it's gonna cost you around 20€ (depends on how many luggage you carry) ohter one by subway you need to take the Line3 (green color) to Plaza España and then over ther switch the line to Line2 (red color) to plaza universidad (5 min walking distance to the hotel).
In some cities in Spain Uber is allowed, in Barcelona don't at the moment.
The hotel just get renovated in most of our rooms, a few ones remain like the old pictures. To differentiate them you will see that you can book standard room (old ones) and superior rooms ( renovated).
