Not last time we will stay on this hostal. The most friendly and top guidance from the people in the Reception. We was so happy that we found this hostal and we give our best recommandations. Location could not be better in center of everything and nice breakfast place right outside to the right.

We were booked into the apartment which is connected to Hostal Q and found it to be very good. The apartment is not attached to the main hotel, and is located about a 10 minute walk from the reception area, in the El Born district. We found the apartment with little fuss, and were very happy that there was an...

Ok I have to admit that it was beyond any expectation if you count in the price we payed as well. It's modern, clean and in great location! The people ther were extremely helpful without having to ask them. Would go there again! It is not certainly a luxury hotel and it looks at very few parts slightly tired, otherwise...

My boyfriend and I stayed in Hostal Q for four nights and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona. The receptionists were extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms were cleaned every day, the shower was powerful, the beds were comfy and the location was perfect. One of the days spent in Barcelona was my birthday and the staff left...

Great location! Walking distance to Catalunya, La Rambla, Port Vell... Staff were friendly and cheerful! Yes, the shower is part of the room, you'd feel train underground and a little noisy outside due to cars and people but we slept through it. Has vendo machine in the common area so great at night when you want something to eat (sandwich)...

I stayed in this hotel with my friends, in the summer. We booked 2 rooms and I must say that it was an excellent choice. The rooms have private bathrooms, the design is very light and very comfortable. The hostel doesn't have restaurant, but has a small kitchen where you can serve yourself with water, tea or coffee and a...

Me and my sister (We are aged 24 and 21) stayed here for 4 nights in July. The location is just perfect--A short 5 min walk from where the airport bus dropped us off and someone is reception all the time. Our room was lovely. The air conditioning was well welcomed as it was extremely hot, day and night! The...

We stayed at Hostal Q in Barcelona for 4 nights in mid-August 2013. Although we would have liked windows, the room was just what we needed for our brief visit in Spain. We were not bothered by street noise and light because we were in an inside room. We did notice the metro rumbling underneath the hotel, but this was...

Absolutely nice hostel in the heart of Barcelona. This place is quite new and you can see it, because rooms are so clean and nice as well lobby also. Location is really good. You can walk everywhere. For example Born is only about 500 meters away as well Rambla and if you need metro, closest station is about 10 meters...

The cookies and coffee in the common area were nice after a long morning out. The vending machine sell water, soda etc. the staff were very friendly...

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
