Hello Barcelona travelers! You have found the right place if you visit THE AC. Its just going to be called THE AC here because this staff sets the standard of what every Hotel should strive to be Marriott Family or otherwise. I wish I could name everyone we came into contact with who made our week visit so enjoyable but its just too difficult when every single employee feels like an old friend but Ill give it a try. The front desk staff was our first interaction after a 12-hour flight and Anna and Carolina were so welcoming and friendly we immediately felt we were in for a good stay. The room was perfect and after unpacking and a shower it was time to hit the restaurant. We were greeted by a smiling Romina who was extremely kind and provided excellent service and was very friendly. The food, drinks and company were so perfect we came back a few more times during our stay and had the pleasure of hanging out with Sbas the bartender and Romina. They were both very nice people and fun to be with and even though we never stayed for more than an hour or so it felt comfortable enough we wanted to visit our 2nd floor friends whenever we could. This was our first time in Barcellona and this crew at The AC should do a commercial for Spain they are so amazing. Moving on, where to go , what to do? Hello again Anna! We do not have enough space to be specific how many recommendations she had. Id like to say Anna was patient with us and spot on with everything she suggested and with Carolina also offering suggestions I seriously believe both of these agents should have Concierge included in their titles. Our Housekeeper Shirley was also so friendly and accommodating with a smile on her face every time we passed her in the hallways. Dear GM....I don't know what you are doing but your people seem to really enjoy their jobs and are very happy. I had the pleasure of spending 24 years at The Westin St Francis in San Francisco and only wish we could provide the excellent service and had a staff that cares as much as yours does. This hotel is amazing! Like other AC hotels (we stayed in Cordoba and Madrid) the Barcelona AC offers great rooms, excellent service and delicious food. Our room, 532, was massive! Two large beds in a room that had a table and a nice park view. We opted in for the breakfast option but were disappointed by the lack of vegetarian options and by the dirty dishes and cups. It would be great for the hotel management to better supervise this side of the hotel operation. The other staff at the hotel, reception and Housekeeping are perfect. Will definitely stay here again!

Convenient hotel for a visit to the camp nou soccer stadium. Walking distance. This hotel is in the business district away from touristy parts. High end stores and a huge mall next door with a food market and food court downstairs. Unfortunately the front desk staff was not so welcoming. I could see how other guests were being helped and shown around the area, and when I asked the response was just go downtown. Walk down this street until your room is ready. Staff needs cultural training, awareness to treat every race similarly. Everything else was excellent, the room, the amenities and cleanliness.

The AC Hotel Diagonal is a perfect spot to explore Barcelona. It's literally attached to the I'lla Mall. Being a lifetime Titanium elite has it's perks. We were upgraded to a Presidential Suite with 2 bathrooms, living room and dinning room. The bed was very comfortable and spacious. The lounge serves daily buffet breakfast for ₹15 with varied choices for everyone. The wait staff at the lounge are very professional and kind They also serve dinner starting at 7:30 pm Check in was quick and easy. Front desk like Ana are helpful and always ready to assist with any questions you may have. They also arranged the taxi to the airport. Housekeeping cleans your room daily unless you request not to. I have traveled to Barcelona over 10 times, and stayed at different hotels. Since 2018, AC Hotel by Marriott Diagonal L"Illa became my home in Barcelona. If you look at its location and facilities, this is no doubt a business hotel. However, its location is very convenient, you can get to any tourist attractions within 10-15 mins of taxi. The staff at reception are very welcoming and accommodating, during my stay they helped to arrange a taxi for me during rush hour. Furthermore, it is next to the Diagonal L"Illa shopping mall with food courts, restaurants, and supermarket. The rooms are spotless and in good size. This is my 2nd stay in this hotel and I will definitely return very soon!

First of all the hotel has a lot of potential - it’s a lovely clean and well located hotel. We got upgraded to a family room but when we also needed a cot which it seems the hotel does not have (!). They also don’t have tissue boxes believe it or not - tissues are 5 to a small pack relegated to the bathroom. Which is not helpful when you need tissues. The small bottles of Hair Conditioner not given or available. The toiletries in general, as well as the number of staff, gave the hotel the lower stars. There was never anyone at the front desk, and we would have to call a person from the inside office where he was hanging out in order to get anything, including check-in. The front desk (particularly the PM gentleman) was so unhelpful and actually cost us a lot because of his lack of advice on parking. When we first reserved the hotel we mentioned we were driving and would need parking. They told us there is parking in the mall w a special rate, and that the hotel is easy to find from the parking. That is all untrue, sadly and we were left to fend for ourselves despite asking for help and advice when we arrived. When we called again they assured us of the same. In reality when it came time to pay for parking he didn’t give us anything like stamp or coupon and when we paid parking it was over 60E! This is for less than 24 hours, The helpful parking office then told us there is a multiple day pass for far far less. Front desk should hve told us this information when we asked about parking. The skint behavior also was reflected in the room service - there is only an available service of going to the 2nd floor, seeing the menu there (which could have been sent to us via WhatsApp or email saving us a trip after 6 hours in the car) , then going and picking up the food when it was ready! This is also due to a lack of staff training or number. The hotel has a lot of potential but without such small essential factors like a helpful front reception staff and adequate toiletries and room service staff it fell far below what it promised.…

I love this hotel. Its always struck the right balance for me between functionality and understated comfort. Its not a luxury hotel, but its comfortable, classy and perfectly located if you appreciate the slightly quieter nature of Les Corts. I am not a tourist, Im a resident in the city and I use it as a home from home / bolthole for at least a couple of weeks per year, and I need somewhere that isn't right on top of the madness of the centre of town or the old city. I always get really well looked after. Special mention goes to Vahag, Rebecca and Susanna for whom nothing is too much trouble. Looking fwd to coming back in December. If I had to offer any critique, a couple of things do stand out as being able to be easily improved, a more extensive gym would be a great addition (they do have one, but its essentially a converted guest bedroom on the third floor) and a fully redone wifi service. it really is poor to the point of being almost unusable at times. But overall, just a great vibe and fully recommended. It does get very busy in the summer in particular.…

Probably one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Appears brand new. Incredibly clean. The interior décor is fantastic. Modern but very comfortable and inviting. The moment I entered the room my mood changed. I felt happy. Did not want to leave. Also, it was incredible quiet inside the room. Amazing. The hotel is situated in a busy part of the city, overlooking a busy kids playground area, yet I did not here any outside noise. Also, I did not here any mechanical noise inside the building although the central AC was working well. Incredibly built. The beds and the pillows were incredibly comfortable. Slept like a baby. The hotel is situated in a very nice area of the city, a bit away from the usual tourist traffic. Very nice restaurants. The Mall is remarkable. The best Mall I have ever visited. A tourist attraction in its own rights. They use the underground parking at the Mall and offered discount. It was very convenient since we had a car. Great property in prime business location. If you want to be close to the water or touristic locations with monuments this is not for you. Mostly business patrons. Breakfast very good but they ran out of coffee one of the days with limited service due to what appeared to be short staffing. Otherwise great property for business travel or people not wanting tourist crowds.
