This hotel is in an excellent location just near the cathedral, fabulous base for seeing all the sights.
The noise mentioned by others is quite incredable really but I can't see how it would be much different in any other hotel......Barcelona is by far the...More
Stayed at this great hotel for 3 nights. The front desk staff are great, very friendly and helpful. All have good English, but let us speak as much Spanish as we attempted! We arrived in the morning and they checked us into our room early....More
Just back from our stay at the Regencia Colon. Thought value for money it was great. Right in the centre of town, everything you could want to see within easy walking or metro distance.

The pictures on the web site must come from another place and time. The room was small and the furniture shabby. It was very clean and the beds comfortable. The one positive was that you had no desire to hang out in your room because...More
This hotel is a million times better and cheaper that the Colon one.

With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local
musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

We arrived to Barcelona Airport and took a taxi to the hotel. I found the taxis to be relatively inexpensive and I took them other times around the city. The metro is also great once we got our bearings but you do have a further walk (from the Placa de Catalunya)- we got a 10 trip card but we were there for a week and you can use it on the buses too. One card can be used for multiple people.
