Our three night stay was excellent. We booked two rooms. Both were very clean, modern and spacious. We hadn’t realised that they came with kitchens and dining areas. One of the rooms had a dividing door to separate the bedroom/bathroom area from the rest of ‘the apartment’. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Bathrooms were a good size; one with a bath and shower, the other with a walk in shower (room for two!) Room temperature good and adjustable. Breakfast was delicious. A buffet style set up to include a choice of hot (bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, tomatoes etc.) and cold food (meats, cheese, bread, cereals, croissants, cakes, yogurt etc.) The hotel staff were welcoming, polite and easy to deal with. We did have a problem in one of our rooms with the loo roll dispenser not working (3 times!) which was resolved immediately with a call to reception. Many thanks to all the staff for making our stay very enjoyable. Location good: Metro (Les Corts) is around a four minute walk away with only 8 to 10 stops to the centre of Barcelona, depending on where we wanted to be. The hotel neighbourhood itself had many places to eat and drink. We found a lively town square with four or five quality tapas type bars only a few minutes walk away where we could have spent an evening. Being the financial district it caters for a certain type of clientele whilst remaining informal, welcoming and less expensive than the town centre. Barcelona, even in February, is one of the best cities we have visited. With only a three day stay we couldn’t do it all and hopefully will return, booking again into Atenea Barcelona Aparthotel.

We stayed 9 days here, from the moment we arrived we were treated really well. We were impressed by how modern everything looked and were even more impressed with our room. Our room had a private bathroom with a small little kitchen. Any questions we would have they would help us. On our check out day, our flight was at 5:30 pm so we were worried abt having to go so early to the airport or having to carry suitcases all around Spain. The people at the lounge kindly told us they could take care of our bags while we still enjoyed Barcelona for a few hours. They would also call cabs for us whenever we would ask. Will def be coming here again. We stayed here because we were going to football games but def a bit further from the “touristy” parts of Barcelona which i saw someone complain abt in another other review. The train is about 3 min away from the hotel, perfect to save money if you don’t want to take cabs or Ubers :)

Me and my partner stayed here for 4 nights last week and had a great stay. Served it’s purpose so well as we were out for most of the day since early. The restaurant in the hotel is lovely and the food was top quality. If you’re looking for a hotel in Barcelona which is clean, good location, good food and great cleaners/staff this is the one.

I don't usually write reviews and I have been travelling all over the world for decades. The most important thing I put in value whenever I book a hotel, apart from usual features such as location, its services an so on, is the treat I receive from their staff in case an issue comes up. First of all, when I reached the room there was a disgusting smell of fish coming out from the small kitchen in the room. I reported it but nothing happened. Secondly, when we left the room unfortunately we forget some personal stuff, when you realized it, right after we called them and basically they stated that they opened our big toilet bag and decided that our stuff was not valuable and they threw it away...Either they did so or not...with due respect this is not what I expect from a four start hotel. Moreover, when we asked them why, they hung up on the phone. Finally, please note that the location is not the best, every time you want to reach the city centre you will probably have to take a taxi and pay no less than 15€, better to spend that money in booking another better hotel in a different location. Regards Ernesto

Dear hotel manager. I booked apartment with agoda and choosen in the form I need a tripple room (double bed + single). Double bed means 1 bed, not 2 single beds put together with hole inside! When I asked at the reception for a change I got informed I need to pay 15 euro more per night to get this option and the reservation form was only request from my side and hotel doesn't have to meet it?! You had a room with double bed available for my stay but I was informed Ineed to pay more. Nobody informed me before that you cannot provide what I paid for, our sleep was terrible. You claim you are 4* hotel but your service is really poor. I travel a lot around the world and usually hotels inform or if available provide requested room type to have a happy customer you - don't. Why do you even give a choice of bed type? You should write bed type as LOTTERY in the reservation form. That wasnt hospitality I would expect. You should at least inform me before I arrive about situation as well as additional turist tax (16 euro) you forgot to mention in the reservation form which I had to pay extra. The room standard does not meet 4*, broken paint in the bathtube, teared sheets on the beds and even cleaning lady forgot to check there is no shower gel. Of course I could ask reception but when you come back at midnight and expect the room to be made and just want to take a shower the gel is missing. Even in the kitchen was not enough cutlery for us 3. I expect some quality from 4*, not to ask and argue about every thing. That 1* I give is for restaurant bar lady which was so kind to open wine for me and give me wine glasees. In short words I REGRET AND DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

I had a vacation in Barcelona on October and my sisters and I stayed there for 4 days. We were amazed from the cozy, clean, tidy and comfortable place. The staff was nice, the hotel was clean all the time and it was so welcoming to come back to the room after a long day outside. Very recomendable! Thank you

room was very large. kitchen is small but it was good enough for what I needed. possibility to separate the " bedroom area" from the " living room area" which is nice. I asked a for a kind size bed and was give twin beds, i asked them to change and then they moved me to a room with two small beds together which is not what I wanted but I didnt want to move again. Breakfast was ok. Staff is very friendly.

Stayed here from oct 9-13, 2019 and was a bit weary on the taxi drive there from the airport (taxi cost 78 euros) as we passed some shady areas getting to the hotel but it was like the pictures on their website which was a relief. Staff were great and warned us of pick pockets and purse snatchers and told us to take care of our belongings when in city center (we appreciated the advise ). Staff were very friendly and always helped with directions and even let us borrow a corkscrew to open our bottle of wine. Hotel staff we were in contact with spoke good english and commumication was no problem. Hotel was very close to rail station into center city so we purchased return tickets every day. Room was great with a kitchenette so we could cook our own breakfast. There were other resturants and small grocery stores within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. We did eat at the resturant, mostly tapas and wine and found it to be reasonably priced and good food. Internet connection in the room was great as well. Would certainly stay here again.

We stayed here for 4 nights as part of our city break in Barcelona. The apartment was nice and spacious. Comfy beds, a nice clean bathroom with a powerful shower. The kitchen area was excellent and good to have a fridge for drinks and foodstuffs. We had breakfast a couple of mornings; buffet style with hot and cold items. Really tasty food and nice to have the option of eating here first thing. The location was really good; with easy access into the city centre by bus or by Metro. We got a taxi to and from the airport. The supermarket in the basement of Les Cortes Ingles is really good. There's also a Lidl just round the corner from the Les Corts Metro station.

My wife and I stayed at another hotel closer to our planned activities (and to the vibrant night life) for most of our stay, then transitioned to this room near Estacion Saints so our early train would not require too early of a wake-up. Well, the place is superb. All new and contemporary, a sharp and helpful staff, and an on-site restraurant (reviewed separately by me). Our room was a suite, roomy and refined. It included a full kitchen with stove, min-fridge, and all the cookware and dinnerware you might need to prepare your own modest meals. The generous king bed was, as is so common in Europe, two doubles side-by-side--try not to fall into the gap. One downside--not nearly enough electrical outlets. The only one we could use to charge our devices was in the living room area, and required us to move a small table over to the wall. Hearty approval of this hotel. Business travellers especially might appreciate it.
