Hotel Nuevo Triunfo is well located, moments walk from the Paral•lel metro station which gets you around the city very quickly. Opposite the hotel you’ll find a supermarket which is open until 11pm daily and stocks pretty much everything you need. Unfortunately, other than the location, there is not much more positive I can say. I visited for a week...

The location of the hotel is great. 5 min walk to metro, 10 min walk to port and the aquarium. Regarding the room. We got two rooms. One was good the other was with bad smell and we asked to move. The bed was rather small and not comfertable and the elevator takes forever to arrive. The reception people where...

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel to see the highlights of Barcelona. The location of this hotel is great. Walking distance to metro and shops. Most interesting places are however still too far to walk. We rented bicycles which works very well. The staff was very friendly and even our bikes were kept inside during the night. Rooms are...

Stayed here for 4 nights. Rooms really modern and clean, beds very comfortable and rooms very quiet. 2 mins walk from the Metro and only 15 mins walk to La Ramblas. Would highly recommend this as a budget hotel only annoyance was a slow lift but could live with that.

Probably the worst nights sleep ever, all I wanted was a comfortable room to get some sleep before my flight the following day, what I got was an incredibly disturbed, hot, uncomfortable, noisy long night! The doors in the corridor banging non stop throughout, loud tv's people shouting, and what can only be described as gunshots being fired every 10...

The hotel is in a great location, less than 10mins walk to Las, 25mins to the beach and only a few minutes from Call Blai (make sure you check this cool street out for tapas and cheap beers). We stayed here for 4 nights and found the hotel to be very comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful....

I stayed in this hotel for 4nights. Would i stay again? Probably not. The hotel does have a decent location, metro 2mins away. However, it is overpriced for what you get. Let me describe; Checkin was quick and easy and staff were very helpful. The elevator is slow and you really feel your taking your life into your hands everytime...

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
