Visited for 4 nights as a group of 3 females in mid July. The location of this hotel is absolutely excellent & cannot be faulted; right in the heart of the Gothic Quarter with numerous cafés, bars, restaurants and shops all within a stones throw....More
We visited the Gran Hotel Barcino early July 2017 for three nights. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of the Gothic quarter. We had a room on the second floor, it was simple and clean and had floor to ceiling windows that opened...More

We walked into our room and were underwhelmed. The double bed was small and the room really basic but after the fact, clean, super WIFI, and the location....unbeatable! We were a few yards away from a square with a number of coffee shops for breakfast....More
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local
musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
