The location of Apartamentos Mur Mar is excellent. It is right on La Rambla across from the Teatro. There are so many restaurants within walking distance it is a treat. And many of the sights to see are also nearby. The staff is wonderful. Very helpful and accommodating and seem to really like to help. The wifi works great. The...

The location is excelent. It's right on La Rambla avenue, centre of Barcelona. Walking distance to the Gothic Quarter as well as the beach. Several metro stations are available on La Rambla, the nearest is 2mins walk. La Boqueria market is also nearby. The staff was friendly, however their English was poor. The apartment was average but clean. It had...

Place needs total refurbishment we were on a stag do so to be honest we didn't care about the accomodation (even on a drinking holiday I would still avoid) but if you were in a family or a couple it's a total dive and for the money avoid this place just spend extra and go elsewhere. Electrics look dangerous, shower...

The review on this place and the photos online with Booking .com is not what we received. It was noisy, dirty, and old. The furniture was terrible. The person at reception want us to leave our passports with him ,( there was no way I was going to do that) In fact this place should be closed down. There was...

We came to Barcelona as an adventure. We knew nothing, and no one, so we needed a convenient hotel near the action. This hotel is small and cosy. Breakfast each day was brilliant, and one night we ate in their street restaurant. We loved this hotel, especially the helpful and friendly staff.

This hotel offers simple accommodation, but perfect location. It is near the port, in the centre. Not very noisy. Kind staff in the reception. Continental breakfast in cafe next to Mur Mar. I recommend this hotel.

People complaining about this place should first note that its situated on La Rambla, a popular tourist spot. so prices arfe going to be high. Second, its a hostel. They give you what they promise (no room service, no pre equipped kitchen, no amenities of a star hotel etc, though a kettle would have been helpful) We stayed here (group...

This has to be one of the worst hotels i have EVER stayed in. It was as if I had been dumped off in the 1970's. The rooms we stayed in (11,21,31,32,35) Were all digustingly dirty. One of the rooms "kitchenette" was padlocked shut and my room, 31, I wouldnt have cooked anything in there. In fact i only went...

OK, Picture this. 9 blokes on a stag do, we were not looking for the Hilton however to be treated like children and accused of damaging their property made our friends stag end on a sour note. The rooms are large but very messy and with no light and hard beds, it felt more like a prison than an apartment....

I stayed 3 nights in Murmar for a stag do, the location is right in the centre of Barcelona, rooms are basic but clean. The terrace on the roof had fantastic views and the people working there were helpful and spoke English. Best rooms are the ones on the top floor. Will definitely stay here again.

Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences.
