I loved staying at Primero Primera. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I got wonderful sleep and appreciated the room darkening blinds. We chose a room with a terrace and immensely enjoyed our morning coffee and evening wine while sitting out on it. The whole staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and I enjoyed all the offerings. I especially enjoyed my morning cappuccino and eggs made to order. We also enjoyed the garden/pool area. It was peaceful sitting in the lovely yard. The hotel is situated in a residential area. We found this ideal, as it is a short taxi or train ride to anywhere in the city. I hope to return to Barcelona and stay at Primero Primera again!

Where to start with this magnificent hotel. What an absolute haven, as you drive up the hill towards Dr Carullo Street, you know you are coming to something that is off the beaten track and in a classic safe neighbourhood. Every touchpoint is next level, the beautiful Receptionists who greet you with a smile after your 14 hour flight from Singapore and you turned up early. They simply make you go and have breakfast and then sit you by the pool with fluffy towels and water. Your laundry is done to the most gorgeous standard, even my mum doesn't iron my clothes that well. The towels in the room are so incredibly soft and thick, the toiletries are divine, the conditioner makes my wire wool hair so lovely. We stayed in a suite with a child, it was spacious and lovely French furniture. Now for the best bit, it has a fridge with complimentary soft drinks and black out external blinds. One night we slept from 330pm till 630am the next day. There are chill out areas throughout the hotel. The Food in the restaurant is Michelin Star Quality. The Ladies at Breakfast are so professional, lush coffee, high quality tea, food for all allergies catered for. The omelettes, the steak tartare, the salads at lunch and dinner. No words! Unbeatable Value for money and ahead of its time. We did not want to leave!…

This is a good choice for Barcelona in local area away from tourists a short walk to subway get the balcony and breakfast well worth it. The hotel is a converted mansion the owner still lives on first floor..has homey feel to it..good front desk help alberto was standout..room is nice size balcony was nice..the breakfast was outstanding and Myrian was so helpful and friendly..the spread is beautiful and well worth the money..we felt the lunch/diner menu was limited food was good but one time is enough..there are small restaurants walking distance a real good Italian restaurant a few steps away is good. A barber shop down the street is excellent and a few small markets just a block away the subway is just down the hill you can buy the T casual pass zone 1 for 11 euro works on bus or subway and we used that a lot. …

One of the best stays I’ve ever had. Unique, home feeling unlike you’ll get in most hotels. Great neighborhood, great staff, and the food was excellent as well, served in a beautiful setting where no two tables are the same. Worth whatever they’re charging, and my rate was more than fair.

We visited Barcelona as I had some important medical assessments at the local hospitals. I’m disabled and was undergoing hospital tests whilst staying at the hotel. We were warmly greeted on arrival. Given a fantastic room with a lovely balcony which we really appreciated as in between being at the hospital we spent long hours in our room. Service was excellent. On top of everything I happened to have a significant eye infection causing unbearable pain and bulging out of my eye socket. The waitress at breakfast spotted this and made me up camomile eye wash which helped a great deal. Food waste excellent. Service was excellent Reception staff always kind and called us taxis whenever we needed. Even one of the staff aided me to the taxi one day. It was a very tough trip for us with some scary medical diagnosis and I can say I felt so pleased we’d stayed here.…

We spent two nights at the this wonderful hotel. Room was very well furnished and appointed, very relaxing. Breakfast was an absolute feast, high quality ingredients. We ate one evening out on the terrace, magical, and delicious meal. Staff are excellent, very caring and considerate and courteous. Highly recommended

We stayed here for one evening at the end of a week long cruise. I had researched and was impressed by all the positive reviews. They did not disappoint. It does feel like you are being welcomed to the beautiful home of a family friend. Our room was large and comfortable, decorated immaculately. The garden with pool very enticing, and the shower was life altering! Location is quiet but very close to the train station that can take you downtown in 10 minutes and the airport was only 20 minutes. We also loved the restaurant attached for dinner and breakfast. So delicious! This will definitely be our go-to hotel the next time we are in Barcelona!

Not enough words can describe how amazing our stay at Hotel Primero Primera was... Upon arrival, my partner and I were treated with kindness by Maria, who made sure that we felt welcome and comfortable. I remember first walking up to the hotel and being blown away by the elegance, yet welcoming simplicity of Hotel Primero Primera. The staff at Hotel Primero Primera are all so kind, caring, and outstanding! It is quite possibly one of my favorite hotels in the world, not only because of its beauty, but the service, staff, amenities, and peace and quiet offered to us. Our room was absolutely perfect and tastefully appointed. It was the right amount of space and had a great setup! We also appreciated the complimentary drinks that were in the fridge. The grounds of Hotel Primero Primera are quite impressive, boasting a garden, small pool, and beautiful restaurant. It was a pleasure eating at the restaurant for breakfast every day we were there (I highly recommend doing the breakfast buffet). Finally, Hotel Primero Primera is centrally located - we were able to walk to multiple spots in Barcelona (Park Güell, La Sagrada Familia), etc. in about 30 minutes or so. The metro was also close to the hotel which made it convenient. We also felt extremely safe walking to/from the hotel! All in all, I dream of our next visit to Hotel Primero Primera - we will be staying there again and can't wait to come back!…

A nine year separation since my last visit, it does not seem that long and although there have been changes made, it appears not so. This quiet residential area lends itself to a peaceful almost therapeutic stay. The El Born area of Barcelona is a little under 5km away and only a €15 and 20 minute taxi away for those wanting the vibrancy and diverse Barca culture of innumerable bars and restaurants. Room 36 sited at the back of the hotel has a large balcony and overlooks a canopy of mature trees and bushes. Breakfast is served both inside or on the front terrace and was perfect in every way. With a labyrinth of secluded nooks and crannies as well as a mass of reading material, it is easy to become lodged for several hours whilst the day can pass you by. I cannot recommend Hotel Primero Primera highly enough. This is the ideal hotel and restaurant for those who prefer a less touristy accommodation. Just a bit removed from the city center, Primero Primera is chic, modern, and quietly amazing. Located in a residential area, the boutique hotel has only 30 rooms, and they are beautifully appointed. Above all, both the front desk staff and the restaurant personnel are exceptional. The restaurant (Planta Baja) should be considered among the best in Barcelona. We loved it so much we ate there two nights in a row! Truly this his a hidden gem and when we return to Barcelona, we will stay no where else.
