Firs of all I want so say - this is a copy of my booking review. But with an upgrade - personnel responded LIES to my review at booking! They say they were helping me with a luggage, but its not true, I didn't asked them to do that, and I wasn't angry as they say. Its so highly unprofessional...

The english word for "Hostal" is actually "guesthouse" rather than a hostel (which Brits might associate with a basic type of habitation) but this is far from basic - it is really is a cracking hotel, located on the first floor of a building occupied by a college. It is located very close to three metro stations - Girona, Urquinaona...

I booked this based on the pictures without realising that it was a hostel and not hotel. Very difficult to find. We walked past the front door twice. The door bells are for the flats but if you look very carefully you can see there is one for the hostel. Once inside it is like walking into Gotham city. Imposing...

This was my third sty at Girona but my first in a double room with balcony and private bathroom. The room overlooked the street, noisy yes but it's in the centre of Barcelona so you have to expect noise, and I always travel with ear plugs anyway. There was a king size bed which was very comfortable, wardrobe, desk etc....

The Hostal was very well situated and within walking distance of all the main attractions. The room is spacious but did not have a bathroom. It does have a shower which is so small we did not use it, so we used the communal bathroom which is situated next to the room. This caused some noise. The bathroom was always...

Hostal Corona is in a fairly central position and handy for La Rambla , Gothic quarter etc. The room was basic but was sufficient for the two nights we stayed. The bed was made daily and the shower had plenty of hot water with good pressure. The way the rooms have been divided means the walls are thin and you...

First time in a Hostal, but have to say it was as good as a hotel. Had an en suite room with a balcony, free safe and air con. Free internet and coffee was a bonus. The building the Hostal is in is beautiful and the manager was really helpful and friendly.

Traveled to Barcelona in mid October, 2016 and stayed here. My travel companion found it on a travel site. The hostel - what I would call a small hotel- is upstairs in a lovely old building. The location is ideal- about two blocks from a subway stop in two directions and walking distance from the Plaça de Catalunya. Most of...

Since the rooms are so reasonably priced, my friend and I booked seperate rooms after having shared on a cruise for the previous two weeks. Well, a private room with your own little balcony in the heart of Barcelona for less than £100 a night? Unheard of! I've read lots of reviews on here about this property and people complaining about certain things...well, listen! Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
