Stayed for 3 nights. Shocked at first as it was more of a youth hostel rather than a hotel as advertised. Room was ok but with old bed and furniture. Not good value for money. Only choose as a last resort.

This is a great little hotel. It's clean, beds are very comfortable. It's very basic, the staff are very friendly. Excellent location. If you have a room that faces the alley (as we did) it can be very noisy at night but this is easily solved with ear plugs. Shower room was clean, shower was hot. Can't ask for anything...

good points - staff very friendly, reasonable price and a fantastic location. bad points - 1. after spending 3 nights there my friend and i went home with several bites all over our bodies from what i've deduced can only be either bed bugs or fleas. we had some friends staying in a different hotel and they managed to escape...

Excellent location, right by a metro station and Las Ramblas and walking distance to many attractions and right by shops, restaurants and bars. We stayed in a private room with an ensuite washroom and a balcony. We had no issues, except I would note that the shower was very tiny and the stairwell is super tiny! The room was nothing...

We had a 3-bed-room with (six!) towels, blowing fan, bathroom, balcony and refrigerator. We didn't booked it especially, so it was an great surprise! We loved the cute, meditteranean balcony, with chairs and folding shutters. For each bed there is a bottle of water as a gift from the hostal, besides a citymap and a ball-pen. In the bnathroom you...

It's essentially the double-, triple-, and 4-person rooms that most hostels have, just in a separate location from the main hostel (in this case, A&A). The front desk staff were very gracious and helpful, answering our questions and offering us advice every time we pulled out a map. There are also no lockouts, which is a huge help in a...

I have stayed at Hostal Palermo every time I've visited Barcelona. (5 years in a row) The location is so great that I don't mind that the rooms are small, the staircase not so good if you have huge bags, as we usually do. We usually don't spend so much time in our rooms so we don't mind. The rooms...

We (myself, husband, 1 year old daughter, and my father) stayed here last February and would probably book the place again. The rooms were basic, nothing special, but clean. There was a computer/Internet in the lobby which was nice except when the employees smoked there, and that was NASTY! I hated walking through there with my daughter. Perhaps they felt...

We stayed here in July and it was an absolute nightmare - DO NOT STAY AT THIS SCAM HOSTEL!!!! First you can't cancel within 72 hours (!?!?!) and they will charge your credit card the full amount if you do. We had a crazy VISA challenge for months just to get our money back. Second, they will give you a...

I've travelled extensively, and this has been my absolute worst hostel experience ever. I booked a 3 bed room at Hostal Arco A&A, which automatically assigned me to this place. The price was very steep - 48 euros per person per night - which came out to 144 euros per night. However, it was the height of tourist season, so...
