The hotel is less than a 5-minute walk from San Antoni metro station. From there you can go directly to Sagrada Familia and, with a few connections, all other places of interest. However, you will definitely need to bring your earplugs to sleep. I requested a high room at the back of the hotel hoping to avoid street noise. It...

We stayed for 3 nights and found it welcoming and clean. The rooms do need updating but they where clean and the staff was very helpful. I don't like over eager staff wanting to get tipped all the time. So this hotel was ideal for me . left alone to come and go as we pleased but on hand and...

The location is ok and you can find a subway station within 5 min walk. the room we got was ok but very clean. Breakfast was a good surprise for us and we had it every day. The hotel looks and feels old, but the price was very good for us so we booked it.

Location is advantage for this low cost hotel managed by Philippines. Me and my friend stayed 2 nights (24 - 25 Oct) and the receptionist gave us a clean room (609). But the bathroom is very small and the smell in bathroom is really terrible and vile: sink was clogged. I pointed out the problem to the receptionist and thank...

Check in was quick and efficient. Several elevators which is nice. Fairly large room. There is a safe which is nice. Room was clean though grout on shower needs a little attention. Although others complained of thin walls we did not find it noisy. Close to restaurants and an indoor clothes & shoe market. Breakfast buffet included scrambled eggs, bacon...

The Hotel employees were not always friendly, we had the feeling sometimes they were only talking to us because we were the paying guest. The beds are very uncomfortable. The water in the bathroom was always warm, so plus points there. The breakfast buffet was not bad only the coffee was rubbish. It was only 5 mins to Metro San...

I stayed at this hotel as I was doing an Intrepid tour which started here and I added a couple of additional nights. The hotel itself is in a good location. Very easy walking distance to La Rambla and Plaza de Cataluna (where the hop on/hop off bus leaves from). There is a great Tapas restaurant/bar close by called Fabrica...

This hotel did not disappoint. Caught the Aerobus to Universitat Place and walked to the hotel in 15 minutes. The reception staff were always helpful and on check in we were given the wi fi code and paid the local tax which was as expected. The room was a a reasonable size for 3 beds with enough storage and a nice...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
