I booked Hostal Eden because I wanted somewhere close to a metro/ train station (it's less than a 10 min walk away from Passeig de Gracia so you can catch the RENFE from the airport there as well as easily access the metro stations generally) and it seemed to have relatively good star rating reviews on the booking site. In...

Just because it is not a new/luxury hotel, it should not be confined to a 2-star rating. Our room was neat, comfortable, and with lots of extras: Working AC, TV, small fridge, coffee maker, safe for valuables, suit hanger, and even a hair dryer. It is also relatively close to the Sacred Family and the cruising docks; we walked to...

Fantastic location, friendly service, clean basic rooms, but street noise is very loud. If you're a partier no problem, if you get allocated a street side room you can hear the traffic and people all night. I suspect the rear rooms are a lot quieter, but have no views.

I read lots of reviews for Hostal Eden before I stayed there. A friend had booked it and based on the reviews I was not looking forward to it. Every email from trip advisor telling me to view my hotel seemed like an alarm telling me to book somewhere else. I'm in my mid 40s and I like a bit...

This hostal\hotel is in a good location very central.the room was clean and the bathroom was very big with all you could need, shampoo, soap and hair dryer. The bedroom was small and the beds clean but didn't give a great night's sleep. We didn't hear any outside noise we were in room 103.the annoying noise was from the water pipes...

Friendly and happy staff, always helpful. Dog friendly, and they truly love dogs. Rooms are from the 1920s, some have lovely pocket sliding doors with attached bathrooms. Some of the mattresses are rock hard, but straight. Cheaper in the winter months, except holidays and weekends. No kitchen, only one microwave to share, but you can get a refrigerator in your...

Good location. Near P.Gracia, P.Catalunya, 20minutes walk to La Rambla. Nice staff, tidy and clean room. Staff helped with change our room. We prefer room particularly with window, sometimes situated to street. Noise from street is for me supportable, for my girlfriend maybe no but tolerably :-P. Staff to meet our requirement. Iam really satisfied.

Great location and air condition was useful. The toilet seat was broken, but the repair was made immediately. Water pipes make a noise... Wifi worked well in the room. I could recommend to my friends who want a good and affordable accommodation.

We asked to change a room for us, because it was unbearably noisy. Noise came from street outside. It was impossible to sleep in the night because of the traffic on the street. But personnel was very nice and helpful and helped us to change the room (after 3 nights). Then it was ok.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
