We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and recommend it! the location is just perfect, a quiet street in the beautiful modern eixample, surrounded by very good restaurants and tapas bar, Gaudi's architecture highlights; you can walk 5 minutes to Catalunya and be in the historical city, connect to the airport shuttle or go everywhere by metro. Stayed here during a family city break to Barcelona. Can only rate it highly. Staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant and the room was spacious and very clean. Best part of all was the location. Minutes from La Ramblas and just around the corner from the hub of the fashion district, but not affected by noise at night. Would definitely... More

We were fortunate to be upgraded to this hotel from another one in the group. No reason was given we assume overbooking. after a short cab ride from the original hotel ( paid for by the company ) We arrived at the St. Moritz and were greeted politely and helpfully our room was already available despite our early ( pre... WE booked this hotel after looking through lots of reviews of hotels in Barcelonia. We were not disappointed. I had emailed the hotel to tell them it was our honeymoon. We were greeted with champagne and chocolates which was alovely gesture. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and airy and the breakfast buffet was very nice.... More

I searched extensively to source the best priced hotel and read many reviews, With trepidation i booked this hotel and was not to be disappointed. The hotel is situated a little off Las Ramblas, which is very good if you need a good nights sleep. From booking in to leaving we where subjected to a very good service by the... More

We stayed for only one night prior to a Med cruise. We found the hotel to be a very good value. Our room was quite nice, even despite being right off the lobby. One of the central shopping and tourist streets is half a block away so it's very centrally located if you are in Barcelona for vacation. The bed... More

We stayed for a long weekend at this hotel. First impressions, the hotel was recently modernised. Has got a nice modern feel to it, and is very clean and well presented. Reception staff are an asset to this hotel, they were very friendly, informative, and give the impression that they really want us to enjoy your stay. They also gave... More

We booked a six night stay here and what a mistake that turned out to be. The sound insulation is really poor so that we were troubled by loud television noise late at night. Some of the staff on reception were helpful but overall service was particularly bad. Returning to our room one evening we found that the room hadn't... More

Location is perfect. Could not be better for Barcelona. And still very quite street. The location in the middle between the Rambla and the Gracia is the right point for 4 days trip in the city. The hotel room is excellent - big. nice, clean, good bath room. The personal are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good as well. Its... More

Like other reviewers, we were offered a room at the St. Moritz through overbooking at another HCC hotel. Our room faced Diputacio yet the dual-pane window - which could be opened - kept street noise out at night. The room was clean and modern.and obviously well maintained. While the weather wasn't oppressive in early June, the air conditioning was welcome... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
