We went there the day before some exams and we really needed to sleep well... Bad idea to go to the equity point. It s really hard to sleep well in a room of 25 persons.. Otherwise the prices are not high, and if you want to meet people from all over the world it s the perfect place!

When I arrived my bed was taken and the staff was indifferent to my staying there. The wifi is terrible if even existent at all. You don't get wifi in the rooms and the server kicks you off every 30 minutes. Towels are not included and neither is a comforter for your bed. On the wall next to my bed...

The room was crowded and smell of body stench like overcrowded. There were 18 dorms in a small room and it is like the cage beds in Hong Kong. The toilets were stinking as they were washed only once a day. The bathroom has no place to hang clothes when you shower. The shower was damn irritating as it stop...

For the price, this places is good. You get what you pay for though. The beds are an interesting set up but not all of them are very private. If you are traveling with friends, book separately, to have a better shot at getting your own space. If not, you might end up with two mattresses right next to each...

The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean but the ways the beds are laid out is quite scary it's just mdf boards making the top floor of the bunk beds with a mattress on top! They have curtains for privacy but not on all beds so can be a bit strange!

The room was stinky and filthy, due to the presence of two bathrooms inside of it. The photos published on Tripadvisor are different from the real ones. I wouldn't recommend it at all, choose another hostel!

The hostel itself was Nice, clean, and relax. However, because of traveling I had a migraine and went to bed really early. I don't mind people walking in and out of the room, it is a hostel so yeah.. the horror came later, when one of my dear roommates forgot to turn of his alarm that was set at 4,30...

The hostel is very simple but lovely. The staff is very kind and gentle, I spent 4 great days there. I get there late in the night, but there was no problem. The customers were very nice too. The hotel is between the Cathedral and the Saint Mary's Church, just a few meters from the metro station "Jaume I". Enjoy!!!

Dirty, noisy, uncomfortable, unpleasant overall. Wifi didn't work even once during our stay. Rooms: I was convinced to book here mainly on the hostel's own descriptions and photos of how private the dorm rooms are, with separate cubicles and curtains for your beds. Well, that is NOT what we got - our dorm room contained the typical creaky ancient metal...

I traveled with 6 friends. We couldn't ask for a better location, in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, close to the metro, walking distance to the beach. Rooms are confortable and big enough. Even being in the upper bed is nice, because its not bunkbeds, it's like a second floor (with your matress, night table, space for your stuff)....

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
