Can Seuba is located up in the hills in the small village of Rellinars - great location for exploring the hills and caves, as well as going for a day out to Montserrat massif & monastery. Can Seuba is easy to miss as it's fairly anonymous at the front. However, the basement room is amazing and quirky, basically a wine cellar with a small outside area and the toilet/shower is the old wine press. Downside is its obviously fairly dark but upstairs where the other bedrooms are (and the dining room/lounge) there is a wonderful balcony to sit out on and look at the views. The hostess was most helpful, with just the right balance of "being there when you needed her" whilst not being a constant presence. The food was wholesome, but she is a one-person operation so don't expect too much. I would recommend at least one night to eat at Ca La Pepa, 50 metres away which is truly exceptional. Overall an excellent, enjoyable stay!

Very relaxing five night stay at Can Seuba staying in the wine vault room.
Room was beautiful and the rest of the house was very big, spacious and lovingly decorated. Our host was Coco who was always available at the end of a phone call should we need anything, and always provided a hearty breakfast.
Rellinars itself is a quiet mountain village offering access to many walks including a three hour walk to Montserrat (longer if you want to reach the monastery). There are three local bar/ restaurants serving traditional Catalan cuisine and a small supermarket (limited opening times). Given we had a longer stay at Can Seuba it was nice of Coco to let us use the kitchen which made up for the times when some of the restaurants were closed for dinner (!)

Overall, would highly recommend this place; particularly for value for money and a great escape and way to experience Catalan hospitality. Only bit of advice would be to check bus, supermarket and restaurant opening times as these can be a bit volatile!

Just an hour outside Barcelona is this hidden gem. Lovingly restored by the owners, one an architect, the house dates from the 15th Century and is nestled in a small hamlet with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The couple behind this venture do everything to make your stay relaxing and different: they will collect you from the train, some 15 minutes away; explain the features of the house, which includes an old wine vat and cellar; guide you to the wonderful and historic local walks; make all your meals, including picnics, if you want; bake fresh bread and Magdalenas every morning for you breakfast on the terrace. The rooms are small because the house is not grand but all are en suite. If you need a break from very noisy Barcelona then this is it. A car an hour is traffic!

This was the most rip off we had while in Spain. Wow, paid 160 euros for a cave room that looked more of like a wet dungeon. The moment you get in, it felt very musty, wet and dirty and its summer and hot!!!! We all left sneezing, they definitely have mold problems in this place.

My daughters got bitten by mosquitoes and there were spider webs everywhere in the ceiling. Spiders crawling everywhere on the wall, floor, etc. We didnt sleep well, the bed was rickety and the bed springs look like they will break at any little movement we make. The beds sink and were very uncomfortable to sleep on.

I addressed it to Coco, the host but she did not really address the problem. I told her about the mosquitoes and my kids were bitten and her answer: "Oh there were 5 mosquitoes around my room last night too". Like it should be expected.

She said they never had complains about the beds ( wish i read the previous reviews) but they did! I felt ripped with what we have paid, definitely not worth the stay. Dont stay here! They just want easy money, they dont care.

My second visit to Can Seuba, ideally located for both walks, caves and the Montserrat massif and monastery nearby. Coco the owner is very pleasant and helpful. For clarity, although it is a b&b, Coco's only there when you need her (ie mealtimes!). There is a nice seating area and dining area, together with a lovely sun terrace. Rellinars IS a bit back of beyond, although there are several restaurants and one shop. The basement room is my favourite, being totally different to the other rooms, with its own outside area, and appears to be a renovated wine cellar and press. Unique!

A group of three families stayed for one night on our way back to Barcelona and it was a perfect end to our holiday. The building is intriguing, steeped in the history of wine production, set this lovely small village with stunning mountain views.

Would definitely stay here again

We stayed at Itziar's Can Seuba for 3 days and it was just great. She's a very warm person and always willing to help you plan your trip. She made us the best dinners we couldn't even dream of and the picknick basket was just as perfect. We wouldn't have eaten better in any restaurant! Can Seuba definitely is a hidden gem! Rellinars is a great place for walking or mountainbiking.
