This hotel is really well situated for exploring the city and there are loads of restaurants close by. The room and bathroom were very clean, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast is toast and croissant with butter and jam, coffee/tea and orange juice, plenty. I think too many people are judging this as more than a 1 star hotel, my experience...

Good location. But the room we stay in needs investment. Damp mouldy bathroom door. Short shower curtains meant that the bathroom was quite slippery. Breakfast was what you expect as previous reviewers. Unrealiable wifi Would only stay again if room was to a budget standard

Good Most comfy hotel bed I ever slept on Location to La Ramblas is very good Price! Staff friendly and helpful. Bad Shower was poor - can assume comparison to being wee'd on by a horse (and probably less warm!) Safe is expensive - Cost of safe could exceed the value you store in it :) Breakfast is very average,...

Do not waste your money here. Arrived at 8 am from a cruise ship as lots of tourists in Barcelona, so no control of our arrival time. We were told to pay to put our luggage in lockers of which there are about 35. We were told our room would be ready at 10 am. We waited until after 11:30,...

Initially, not impressed with the neighbourhood! The room we were given on arrival, was very basic with no clothes hanging facilities, very basic,(but clean). On request they changed our room without any problem. We slept there for one night but found it lacking ,but, again the staff at reception upgraded us to a triple room,(we had originally asked for at...

If you're looking for a low budget central place to sleep, this place is a good option. We stayed in the double room and it was quite small, but it was enough for us. Clean and cozy. Breakfast is simple

Stayed for one night in this hotel. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The rooms were ok for one night but could do with updating especially the tv. The breakfast was poor croissant and toast. Hotel is clean and good enough for one night. The rooms are not sound proof and we could clearly hear peoples conversations as they walked...

Room had been recently updated - quite charming with exposed bricks. Corridors a bit shabby. Continental breakfast is 2 pieces of toast and a croissant but sufficient to start the day. Staff friendly and helpful. Good budget hotel for our three night break. Location is good - five minutes on foot to Las Ramblas and near metros. 10/15 minutes from...

We booked on booking.com.The very friendly owner and a lady cleared their garage next to the hotel for us as we had requested secure parking for 3 motorcycles. We paid extra for this but it was worth it.One girl on Reception was bit miserable but professional. Big Lockers available in reception for two euros, much cheaper than room safe. The...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
