The room, services and amenities are really basic and simple; do not expect any conveniences or luxuries. For example the single room I stayed in, was a small box-like room that fitted only the bed. Not much room even to put away the luggage. The room itself and toilet were clean and that was ok. In addition, the breakfast was...

Absolute bargain to stay in this hotel, great location near La Rambles and good service from the reception. Hotel lacks amenities being only 1 star but still very clean rooms and ideal for paying so cheap.

We have had no shower since our arrival, nobody repaired it today and receptions answer was "well it's only another 24 hours". We want to check out now but we have been refused a refund and simply told there's nothing they can do. There is a funny smell in the room and the staff have no customer service skills whatsoever....

This hotel is overpriced and small . The pictures you've seen in the booking website is not what you will get. Everything was wrong in this hotel. Wifi have to restarted every four hours because they said it can only accommodate 200 up address or 200 users and if your unlucky you can't use at all and you have to...

Avoid at all costs. Budget it may be, but the very least you expect is the room you booked! They didn't have one for me even though I had confirmation of my booking a few days earlier. Luckily I had friends staying there, so they squeezed us all in the one room by removing the bed side tables and adding...

We was given this hotel by the agency through which we booked the holiday (flight and hotel) and we didn't know exactly what to expect. Once we arrived we had the feeling that it is not exactly the dream hotel and the reception was not really friendly but after we been accomodated we realised it was a great choice. Room...

Also the maids looked liked they made noise early morning so we can leave the room and the clean and finish early. Nice and clean room and nice shower You have...

If you want luxury, don't come here, but if you want somewhere basic, clean, and close (10 min. walk) to the centre with underground connections to many of the Gaudi attractions, it's ideal. The rooms are comfortable enough, with a small bathroom or shower room, though the neighbours can be noisy (well, it was New Year). They have family rooms...

I understand that this is a budget hotel; but the standard is extremely low! As a couple we were put in a small room where two twin beds were joint together and the beds kept separating from one another so essentially we slept on two separate beds. The room overall was very tacky, it did not look dirty but when...

Very central and good to get to the ramblas. Room very basic we were on the 6th floor lift only to the 5th so had to take my case up one flight of stairs. Room comfortable enough but not soundproof could hear everything in next room. Not the best when you are trying to sleep. It's a great pit stop...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
