I found the room dated and very cold. You could not regulate the heating system. Wi fi access was simply not available at any time and the staff did not care. Night staff realy unprofessional. Some noise during the night. Location was good though.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location at the top of Las Ramblas. Otherwise the rooms were small and out of date. Beds were hard. Walls must be thin because you can hear everything going on in the hallway. The wifi never actually worked in our room. I asked the front desk for help and they were...

Hotel Medium Monegal is located in an excellent location across from Placa Cataluyna and is within walking distance to restaurants, public transportation and tour buses. However, the room in this hotel was very small with a 2x3ft window. The walls in this room are so thin that I was able to hear everything in the room next to me and...

You have a Mc Donalds on your right hand and a Zara on the left one. You are just at 5 minutes walk form the Boqueria market. What else you want ??? Its...

Hotel has a bit old furnished, but tidy and clean rooms, friendly personnel and good breakfast. PERFECT location near Catalonia square and La Rambla street. In terms of commodities apart from basics - TV with HD channels (most are Spanish), free Wi-fi (which requires login after each leaving of the hotel) and a safe (which is paid separately). What I...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
