This hotel was definitely a bit nicer than I had expected. It was very well-maintained, and had a very professional and helpful staff. The breakfast that was included was more than I expected to get. The location was perfect. It was away from the hustle and bustle of Ramblas and other tourist attractions, set in a nicer (and seemingly safer)...

Negative points: - No soundproofing between rooms, the noise from the corridors and adjoining rooms was unbelievable. you could hear the TV next door, the room above us walking around and the person beside us snoring. The noise from the street is also bad as you have a couple of bars and night clubs on the street - Staff very...

This is a new and modern hotel with a good location and all commodities. Barcelona is a huge city, you must choose if you want to stay near the beach or near city center, if you want city center, this is a good spot. I must say i made a reservation for a 3 star hotel, AB VILLADOMAT, but this...

Just came back from Barcelona after staying in this hotel for three nights and was pleased with overall standard of this hotel clean, modern and lovely breakfasts. It was a good 15 to 20 mins walk to any of the attractions and with the right shoes it was a "nice step" i would recommend to use "Tuerisic Bus tour" an excellent...

I stayed here for one night in July and again one night in August. It was a business trip, both times and the hotel was booked by the local office staff. It is used regularly by the company and everyone has been pleased with the hotel. The bar is a typical hotel bar, lacks atmosphere but there are bars very...

Stayed here for two nights on 20th July 2006. Good location - less than 5 mintues walk to Provenca/Diagonal underground stations. Just turn left out of the hotel and walk two blocks. Or 10 minutes walk to Gaudi's Pedrera and the Tourist Information office in Palace Robert at Diagonal. The hotel is brand new, modern, contemporary and very clean -...

We stayed at the Cotursa Rossello with our 7 year old daugter for a 3 night break in April. Our room was on the 2nd floor at the front and the traffic was quite noisy but then we expect that in a bustling town centre and we actually slept very well. There was nothing especially positve or negative about the...

We stayed in this hotel for a 3 night long weekend break in March. We were allocated a room on the 5th Floor (513) we found the room to be clean and functional. The maid was excellant and full of smiles. The aircon unit was not very good, believe it or not the max temp reached 26 c outside, we...

We only stayed in the Hotel for one night, whilst on a quick visit to Barcelona, and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. We had a room at the back of the hotel overlooking a square. This I would recommend if you want a quiet room as the hotel is on fairly busy road. The room was very...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
