We spent one night in this hotel and found the location very convenient - just 5 mins walk to the Ramblas. Simple breakfast provided in the adjacent bakery. Lots of restaurants in the surroundings. The single room i booked was a shoe box with a window to the inner yard - not recommended for more than one night. The guys...

I just got back from 3 nights at Hotel Aneto. It is located just off La Rambla, far enough away to be quiet but close enough to the action! The hotel itself is very clean. We didn't bother paying for breakfast as there are great places nearby for breakfast including a cafe on the same road and La Boquera market....

You have to remember that this is Barcelona, one of the most vibrant and sought after destinations in the world. It is also am expensive city, that said, we said 53€ a night for a 3 night stay. The hotel is located in the Barrio Gótico, about 400 metres from the. The Ramblas metro station and about the same from...

Booked in this hotel for a post cruise stay. Hotel is located just off La Rambla, next to Boquiera market. We arrived early so we couldnt check into the room until 2pm. We had booked a triple room which was large and had a balcony with a view over the city. Breakfast is in the coffee shop next door. Wifi...

This is a great old fashion european style pension. In a building with apartments, one or two floors belong to the hotel. It is located in the Gothic Quarter, the old city, Just one block to the Ramblas, one block from La Boqueria Market, a few to Plaza Catalunia and walking distance to El Borne, Example, La Barcelonetta. Great Location....

We liked the spacious room. When booking four person rooms in Europe, at least at the price points we were using, they often just added two portable beds. This leaves you tripping over backpacks just trying to get to the bathroom. This was not a problem here, and the quad room has its own bathroom. Other rooms may be different....

Stopped here on an over night in Barcelona and for €50 it was good value. You get what you pay for really but it was clean and the staff friendly. Good location just off la rambla with everything you need on hand. Our bed quite small but it was comfy

Nice little hotel a block from Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya, Boqueria Market, metro stations and many other places. Staff nice, the room was spacious and clean and the AC cold (is HOT in Barcelona during summer). Great value for money!

We only stayed one night and I think it was about $150 for a room with 4 single beds. Might cost less other times... We stayed here before boarding a cruise. Good location, within easy walking distance to Las Ramblas. I see some other people complained about noise; I didn't find that to be the case. Nothing fancy but no...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
