We would be out all day from 9am-midnight so using this to sleep and shower only. We had a 3 bed room which is literally just beds and an en suite, The price is spot on for what you get and the location is among the back roads near the university so a lot of great cheaper places to eat....

A perfect location, several minutes front Las Ramblas, but at a fraction of the cost. The hotel was dated in decoration and not in the best taste, but was clean and contained all you could wish for in a basic, budget stay. Staff were friendly and the lady even delivered a charming comment to my girlfriend in Spanish that made...

We were on a cruise and decided to get of a day early and spend the night in Barcelona and get a flight home the next day. Was only £56 for us and our little boy. The area is very nice with lots of beautiful eateries, bars and cafes and only a short walk to la rambla . Only thing...

First of all let me state why the staff were aggressive. We got to this hostel in the morning time and wanted to go straight to our rooms. The 'lady' at the reception was rude and just not interested. It may have been a hostel but it was still 280 for two nights to have our own bathroom. When we...

Slow, tedious complicated check-in. Threadbare bed linen and covers. Dirty blanket with cigarette burns. Thin solid pillows. Zero soundproofing - able to hear conversations in adjoining rooms and from reception below. Noisy lift, constantly in use throughout the night - lengthy rattling mechanism. Smell of drugs wafting into our room - extremely prevalent in the hallway and stairwell. When reported...

I was in this humble establishment several times ... we say that what led me to choose this location has always been the price and convenience seeds in the center ... this last time has completely disappointed me ... a gentleman at reception never seen as many times earlier that there never smiled and never said hello, unhelpful and surly...

Initially very concerned by down at heel area and presence of homeless people outside hotel, my first impression changed within couple of days and warmed to the place. Location very central to all Barca attractions and numerous shops and rester aunts nearby. Room was basic but cool and cleaned daily. Staff friendly.

We stayed at Pension Miami for one night in May 2016. We stayed in room 504 and paid 71 Euros. The location is good, and the pension is old but has a certain amount of charm and the staff on the desk were nice. Unfortunately, that's all the nice things I have to say about it. Overall, the room was...

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Only positive is the location - quite close to a station. Would definitely not stay here again. Tiny room, can barely turn around in the shower and no wi-fi. Just an awful hotel.

Rooms are smaal, but beds are good. Bathroom is small but you have all you need. You can hear through walls but you can sleep with open window and there is free wifi in the lobby and elevator. It was a realy good stay. Coffie shops, supermarkets and bakeries are around pension and Rambla is 8 min away. 2 minutes...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
