The gentleman at the desk was helpful, but it really is a hostel not a hotel and as we were an older couple with daughter, it was not quite what we needed. In saying that it was very close to everything and very clean. i...More
Just on the Ramblas, just in between 2 metro stops and in the middle of 3 neighborhoods, so great location both for walking and public transportation.
Great service from the nice and welcoming front desk people.
The rooms are basic but clean and equipped.
This hostal is right on the Ramblas (towards the Colon Monument so closer to the port than the Plaza Catalayna) so it deserves 10/10 for location. We had a double room with privcate bthroom. The Barri Gothic is just a stone's throw away as well....More

Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day
forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
