A general - you get what you pay for. At €50 for a private room for 3 people with big lockers it was pretty good and didn't have to pay rental on sheets (seriously such a ridiculous premise). We were on the 4th floor with a window overlooking the alley. The breeze was great but the noise that travels up...

Day time staff were fun and friendly people, had a good laugh with them. The night time guy on the other hand.... god forbid he has to help you with something. Rooms pretty standard cheap hostel room. Bed was comfy and they had a plug next to the bed as well as a locker that could fit a big suitcase...

I am disappointed. I realise that it is not a luxury hotel, but still it looked like a ruin or a not fully finished (renovated?) building opened for visiting. It was hard to find a room in the labyrinthine corridors. I had to ask a houseman where is my room and how can I use an electronic key, because the...

The hostel is in the heart of the Barcelona, two minutes from the main street La Rambla. Everything inside hostel was acceptable (staff, WiFi, breakfast, room), except bathrooms which were small and dirty.

Stayed in a two person room here for a week. The room was spacious and had 3 lockers and a desk, we faced out the front of the hostel on the first floor. It was very good value for money and is located right in the center of Barcelona near to Metro stations, Shops, Restauants and Beach. The bathrooms and...

This is simple, cheap, accommodation and it's ok. Unfortunately, nothing was what I would call good. The showers worked but ran cold VERY quickly, the bed was reasonable but not exactly comfy, and the heat! My god it was hot. This is Barcelona, it's hot a lot of the time, I wouldn't expect full air con in a youth hostel...

Service gets an 11/10, phenomenally attentive to every single need of it's clients and ready to do anything and everything to please.. Though knowledge was limited as to a 24 hour kebab place the breakfast was delicious and there was much fun to be had. Not much sleeping gets done here, that's for sure. But in the best way possible....

Super friendly staff, we had 2 bookings for one night when passing by Barcelona, and we had an awful room the first night : the room was cramped and unbearably hot. So we asked for a different room when checking in the second time and they opened a different 8 beds dorm just for the 3 of us, and they...

We stayed here last year when visiting Barcelona, it was our first time in Barcelona and so we didnt really do any research before booking. Backingpacking, we were not really fussy on the type of accommodation so the state of the rooms didnt bother us (however, we did hear a lot of complaints from other travellers) We found the atmosphere...

a very well centered hostel. Walking distance to a lot of the important sights. but the room had just a window facing the inner wall of the hostel so no fresh air or real daylight. But it had a pretty good fan so it was fine. the recepnionists veried from very nice and helpfull to minding too much their own...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
