The worst check-in experience ever. Unpolite old guy in recepction, who speaks only Spanish. It is not really clean. Only two tables for breakfast. Tableclothes are dirty and breakfast is not worth mentioning. one bed in our room was ok, but the other one was totaly uncomfortable. Without aircond. Wifi very weak - doesn't work in room.

First impression: you walk up to a graffiti door that isn't labelled at all. Just a buzzer on the wall. Inside the door was a "foyer" which was actually a construction site. You then need to head up the stairs so I hope you don't have a suitcase. Service: the man at the front desk kept me waiting about 10...

The receptionist was missing from the counter for at least 40 minutes. When he finally came back into the hostel he was quite adept at making grunts to advise us that he hates life and the perennial inconvenience caused due to our poor Spanish speaking skills. Fine. He was an older gentleman, I'll leave it at that. The room we...

Very poor room, sound insulation and breakfast (only toast and cheese), the staff hardly speaks English, shower stinks really bad, no toilet inside the room(!!!). The place itself reminds ruins. There is no TV, also there is a hole in the ceiling and seems that snakes could visit you time to time. Pluses: new towels every day, free wifi, great...

We booked this small Hotel because of the location. very handy to Las Ramblas and the action in the city centre. Our hotel was positioned above a "chic" winebar and opposite a popular Restaurant. The noise was loud and went well into the morning. The rooms are not airconditioned and leaving the window open is not recommended (thieves) and noise....

Well the room and shared bathroom was clean, but bed was really not comfortable. I stayed 2 nights. Great location, but what pissed me off a lot was that when i came to bring my luggage in the evening (because my flight was in the evening i asked if i can leave my luggage somewhere in the hostel and receptionist...

As described when booking. Very basic, free breakfast. Small room with sink, double bed, free WiFi and an outdoor balcony overlooking the pubs and clubs. Great central location. Two minute walk to the Old Port and 5 minute walk to Cathedral. Lots of quirky shops on Avinyos.

Finishing up a three-day trip in Barcelona. I think that people who leave reviews need to understand that this place is a hostel and not a hotel. That usually means no elevator, byob towels and toiletries, sharing bathrooms, busy areas with noise. And hostal baires actually is a little better than other hostels by providing some of those things. You...

It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences.
