We spent one night here prior to a Mediterranean cruise. The hotel is walking distance to Las Ramblas. The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty hot water and helpful staff. We arrived early and the room was ready after a short wait, however they will...More

This is a great little hotel, handy for the Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the air conditioning was excellent. There is a safe and small fridge in the room and a kettle. Don't forget you tea bags and coffee!
I've stayed here several times over the past 8 years and have always been pleased. The staff is both helpful and professional. Located in the Gothic Quarter, it's only a few minutes walk to metro stops and tourist areas such as Las Ramblas, La Boquería,...More

With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local
musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

Firstly,I believe Krista has her locations mixed up and may be refering to Palau Güell, which is quite close. Parc Güell is at the top of Barcelona ,compared to the hotel mentioned being down near the port. You will find this hotel very well situated for sightseeing places such as the ramblas, the cathedral, the gothic part of the city(it´s actually in the gothic area) at the top of the ramblas in Plaza Catalunya, you could get on the tourist bus that takes you to parc Güell among other spectacular sights such as Sagrada familia church.
