We recently returned from a long weekend to Barcelona. We arrived late Friday night but the staff were so welcoming. We had even mentioned it was our anniversary & they had kindly left a free bottle of cava in our room which was a lovely...More
I've seen a few reviews that they it was really expensive for what you get. I don't really feel like that's the case. We paid £50 a night. For that in Barcelona, I don't feel it was overpriced. But calling it a 4* hotel is...More

Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day
forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.

Yes I believe so, not that we have had tapas for breakfast. The Central Market off Las Ramblas would be a good place to start.. Also, one place that we did use quite early was Cafe Dora and you may care to read my Review... More

on arrival we got off the bus at Catalunya and we had a bit of a walk to find our hotel . What I would suggest is that you get off the stop before at the University . Walk up the Carrer Muntaner until it meets Carrer Valencia . The hotel is just round the corner. Easiest way to get around the attractions is to get the metro at Hospital Clinic which is five minutes away . It is by far the best way to see everything . When you get on the aerobus you will be given a free map of the city which is really helpful to see where everything is . Hope you have a wonderful time 😊
